My heart was racing faster than any other game this season. Blown away !

 

Green Bay v Atlanta total 70?

 

My MF,in heart was pounding....There was a lot of pacing back and forth....And colorful commentary...And Rodgers flipped the switch again....8 in a row and his numbers are unbelievable during that stretch. And how about Crosby kicking two bombs to go ahead two different times at the end of the game, feel great for him. And Nick Perry's bat down on 3rd was huge to force Dallas to kick the game tieing fg, as they were poised to score a td, plus it gave us time....What a redic. throw and catch by Rodgers and Cook to set up the game winner. Nothing beats the postseason when your team is making a run.

I don't care what they do off the field..most if these guys are full of rage etc...but you now have 3 qbs in final 4 that are possibly top 10 to top 15 all time. By the way..Rodgers has best td to it ratio for his career the best I've seen. He's a 4 to 1 ratio...better then brady.

It will be interesting to see what Belichick does to counter L. Bell. It's frustrating to watch him take so long in the backfield, then squirt through the line. Somebody go tackle him! LOL!

The Texans were effective, at times, running against the Pats. Not sure how similar Texans blocking scheme may be to Pitt's.

I could see that game go either way.

The Steelers did not even score a TD.

Ha! No, you're not going to see Tirico and Michaels paired together. Not sure how that would work out. I thought you liked Collinsworth.

 

I like Gruden doing color, too. He brings a lot of enthusiasm, even to some dreary MNF matchups. I wonder what he would've been like announcing the GB-Dallas game? LOL!

 

Aikman and Simms seem to be cut from similar cloth. Not very informative, not much energy, and not great voices. Seems like when a guy gets an announcing gig, he never gets replaced. Even the B-list announcing teams have been together forever.

honestly though it would be a blowout the way the first quarter went. thankfully the 'boys fought back but wasn't enough. i told my friends who i watched the game with when they scored to tie the game that 4mins was obviously enough time for Rogers. then even 0:35 was still too much time. not sure how the game would have gone in OT but would have liked our chances. a lot of writers probably didn't see the cowboys being in the position they were in. got to tip your hat to the two rookies who didn't play like rookies all season.

 

defense really needs improvement as does play calling. they try and get too cute with one of the top 3 RB's in the game on 2nd & 1 with a pass. hate to see this season end just like that, we always think "it's our year" and watching every game, you saw more and more out of this team. the loss hurts but the future is bright.

Welp, my boys are still alive... But wow should I have bought the NFC championship tickets when they went on sale hoping we'd get a home game... Lower level were $225 each through the box office. Now lowers start over $500... Smh.

I agree, hands-down Green Bay. Rodgers playing as good as it gets at QB. Should be a real shoot-out, though.

Brady did not look great vs Texans, but the offense still scored 27 pts. Texans got some pressure on Brady, which I don't think the Steelers will be able to match. Pats have a "bend don't break" type of defense, like the Chiefs, only better. I don't think you'll see Rob Nincovich covering Antonio Brown, lol.

I hear you guys, but "the B's" might just have an exceptional game. There isn't that much more of a chance Green Bay upsets than the Steelers to me.

Just so much awesome talent on that Steelers offense, their running game alone is ferocious. Heck the Steelers D has been getting better every

week for a long while now. Handled the Chiefs well.

I hear the past records and the coaching mismatch arguments. They are to be considered. I will throw them out the window for this game though.

I predict it will be tight as hell.

I saw on friday I think the Pats were pulling in almost 75% of the ATS bets against the Texans. I don't know what the money breakdown was but the majority of people were on NE

I grew up in a small town along the Ohio river, Baden to be exact. Watched the steelers starting the late 50s. Bobby layne, buddy dial, dick hoak, John Henry Johnson, Ernie stautner, .... didn't win much but this story always spoke to me of the steelers and the league of old.

 

In the book Passion for Sports by The Sporting News, former teammate Andy Russell shares an anecdote that highlights Stautner's elite toughness. Russell, then a rookie playing on a team that would eventually finish in fourth place in what would be Stautner's final season, sees the grizzled veteran return to the huddle holding one of his hands in the other. Russell looks down and sees that Stautner has a compound fracture of the thumb; one of his thumb bones is visibly sticking out of his skin. Russell is the only one who notices, and Stautner says only, "What's the play?" Then he plays the rest of the defensive series. When the defense returns to the sideline, Russell watches Stautner, thinking that surely he must seek medical attention now. Instead, Stautner says to someone, "Give me some tape." Then Stautner taped up his hand into a club, and he played the rest of the game.
