As a teenager/amateur Jason was all Nike in clothing and through the bag for a quiet a few years so to see this finally come to fruition isnt surprising. No doubt alot of $$$ involved

guess some sources are better than others.....posted this a few weeks back. I think it's a great move for Nike and don't be surprised to see one more signing....I think we are moving to a point where the "what wins on sunday, sells on monday" motto is no clubs but clothes...

Makes Perfect Sense ... as he just withdrew from a tournament with a Back Injury. He's officially part of the Nike family now, ailments and all.

I absolutely can't stand ESPN writers. The guy mentions Rory not being able to sell the brand since he has not played well. Gimme a freakin' break. Second, 10 million? Gimme a freakin' break! The shirts are already $100 a piece...made for pennies on the dollar. Good for Day...but I don't see this as great for consumer.

TM clubs are great and he is smart not to go with anything else. His current endorsements allow perfect combo of Nike and TM.

I mentioned this in the post discussing the equipment deal with NIKE. I said those that dont like NIKE are not going to like the fact that NIKE dropped equipment because this will free up NIKE to sign a ton more players. Look to see alot of swooshes on TV next year.

 

To the poster that mentioned that you care more about whats in the persons bag. Thats true for most WRX'ers but when people tune into TV they SEE the swoosh they dont see the Titleist club. NIKE is going to sell a ton of footwear and apparel going forward.

Hope so but for $170 - $250 range for shoes and $70 - $110 for polos, that is a tough buy for a lot of "mainstream" golfers. Perhaps there is a pricing strategy adjustment in the works as well.

 

Not sure this look is going to appeal to many.
