^^^^^ What he said... be careful of de-lofting more than 2 degrees otherwise the wedge can start to look weird to your eye at address due to the added offset. Adding loft is less of an issue as it decreases offset and tends to look more suitable to my eye anyway. Very good advice mctrees02.

Ha, I totally know the feeling. The one thing I have kicked from my OCD tendencies is to allow a wedge marked "P" in my bag.

Delofting a 50* wedge to 46* will take it to roughly 7* of bounce (a PW typically has 9-10* of bounce).

Additionally, delofting a wedge that much will add a fair amount of offset. I don't mind adding 1-2 degrees of loft to my wedges but rarely, if ever, will deloft a wedge by more than 1* because of the unwanted offset.

For every degree of loft taken away, you take away as much bounce, and vice versa when you add loft. Just kind of adding on to what you said in your scenario. The 50* has 11* of bounce, so it would be 7* of bounce. But it would probably take it close to double the amount of offset on the club head than is currently on there.

buy a 50 and bend it to 46 in the meantime?

Yeah I'm just wondering how it will effect the bounce.

There would be very little bounce and most likely you'd chunk some shots, but if you grounded off the leading edge a little bit (take a look at Tiger's witb) it would make it easier to hit. One of my friends has this problem right now because he has a DS 58 engage and he can't hit full shots with it.

Honestly the Vapor Fly Pro PW is shaped real well. Might want to take another look at it.

If the new PCs are anything like the Vapor Fly Pros I'm buying sight unseen.

Oh, and a golf shoe that looks like the Kolstons, all black and all white models:)

+ a billion. I had a pair of spiked Nike golf shoes back in the day 20+ years ago I'm guessing that remind me of the Kostons.. White with a dark blue swoosh. Simple is good.

I was talking to my Nike rep a couple weeks ago, and he knows the plan is to have new blades and combos this year, but that's all he knew. He did mention that on the hats this year, there's no RZN or Vapor, so that might be a sign to come...

The hats are like that because Nike wants to showcase the Swoosh and only the Swoosh. Plus..they can easily roll inventory over from year to year if they so choose. Hard to do that with a branding on the side that isn't continuing on.

Honestly if they release a smaller forged VFP as as the next PC I will definitely be interesting in building a combo set and ordering the new PC in the short irons. I love the VFP's throughout set but the thought of a little bit smaller short irons, forged, with the same LE grind.....drool!

And I second the VFP wedges are excellent. Both the PW and AW.

It's pretty obvious based on the brighter, more youthful colors the last couple years, that Nike is transitioning from the TW era to the Rory era, as far as their showcased athlete. The red was fun while it lasted, but it's not coming back.

The short irons are the same size as the PC short irons. I think from 8 irons down if I remember correctly. I would think they would use the same tech in the Pro Combos for the long irons. Hopefully.
