Nike 2017

I heard rumors of a"Just Do It" driver and fwy line. Not sure if I believe that or not though.

Everything Nike does as far as name and color seems to be based on a two year patterns. (VR, VRS) (Covert, Covert 2.0) (Vapor, Vapor Fly). The name will be different for sure, and will go hand in hand with the entire Nike brand, which is what they did with Vapor.

 

In addition, I suspect the color will also be a "Nike" theme. For example, Volt is a "Nike Color" and the photo blue was an Olympic color in honor of golf returning to the Olympic games this year. My guess is Orange only because it is the most well known Nike color (shoe boxes) and hasn't been utilized yet as a color theme.

 

Good point about the orange shoe boxes.

 

However, for golf, I think R. Fowler and Cobra own orange.

Still playing the VRS Covert Forged 2.0. They haven't had an effective replacement as of yet IMO. I love this iron!

Not in the market for irons, just got fit for FG Tour V4's, but would love a Nike driver! If the Vapor Fly Pro Limited Edition could've been custom ordered with the D+ 70X I would have been all over it. Unfortunately I checked with Nike and they said no :(

 

PS: Anything but orange! I vote for green in honor of Rory's home country.

Same here. Orange is a no go for me. I'd like to see the wood line be mostly black with photo blue accents.

I highly doubt Nike will be going orange anytime soon. That is Cobra's color and image currently...

Id love for them to keep a small part of blue like they did this year with the volt. But add a silver or black theme. Or id be ok with a complete change to something like purple or green. No orange please...

honestly I am looking at the Vapor Fly Pro 2 or 3 iron as a driving iron... I have watched a lot of videos and read a lot of threads on these... my only concern is that it will be better than I think it will and may lead me to a whole bag of Nike s*** lol.
