I don't think I've lost my humor gene but I couldn't watch the entire video.  Only watched up to the point they were about to turn on the blender.  Gross.  Is that how they make my turkey breakfast sausage?

You missed the best part.  The lid momentarily came off. While running.  Akroyd caught it without a flinch and slammed it back on.  It was 1/4 inch from being sprayed all over him and the set.

just got over one of the nastiest bugs i’ve had. last time i felt that bad was with pneumonia about 15 years ago. it was almost 36 hours long on the hour. i rarely catch things because i’m adept at avoiding human contact.

but, my buddy and cart partner on wednesday was feeling and sounding awful.

36 hours of non-stop sweating, congestion, muscle ache and no sleep saturday night. sitting in the ac sweating from head to toe. i’m close to being back to my old annoying self.

check of the news says lots of people here with a nasty bronchial thing.

Throat starting to feel a little scratchy. Should I go home from work now Solo?

That works too. Or tell him you have a 20-person GolfWRX gallery following you online. That'll distract him.

He's a good guy. He just doesn't screw up. He's 200 yards down the middle, hybrid to the green or just in front, chip and a putt and it's on to the next hole. I don’t 3 putt very often but I'm not sure I've ever seen him do it.

My mantra to my kids every time we play, so much so they are sick of hearing it and repeat it to me before I even finish (which means it’s worked):

GPA - grip, poster, alignment.

aen,

I need to say it to myself more often.

💯💯💯

Pretty much every time something's gone wonky - it's some fundamental out of whack. When I'm getting tired - like during a long range sesh - posture is the first to go. Then alignment.

Grip is one that seems to just sneak up and I don't always notice it. I played with a super strong grip for a loooooong time - so it won't even feel all that weird even though I "corrected" it several years ago. You'd think "Oh, stellar snap hook" or "Nice block, idiot" would be enough to be all "Hey, check your grip dawg" ... but this doesn't always happen 😂

If you were born between about 1973 and 1980 and don’t struggle with your grip getting too strong, you must have started playing golf as an adult or a real shorty.

Now why did that drive go left heading left? 😡😡😡

I took lessons in early 90's, their whole thing was a 3 to 4 knuckle grip. Hated it too. Went Hogan way, I'm now pure neutral and a lot more in fingers.

I’m glad you figured out my typo for posture.

Autocorrect is great, until it’s not.

I learned to play in the 60’s and 70’s and my grip has never (intentionally) changed. Two V’s, both parallel and pointing just inside my right shoulder.

Alignment is always an issue for me. I can spend hours on the range with my 2 iron (what else is it good for anymore) in front of my toes. Once on the course my brain tries to tell me, “ignore that range crap”.

I had a straight back as a young man, with more hip flexibility. Back is more rounded now.

One thing that’s like death and taxes…..exaggerating how much you work. Someone just told me of “…consistently working 18-22 hour days for the first decade of my career.”

Nope.

No way.

I’ve put in more 100 hour weeks over the years than I care to count. I’m not proud of it, sustaining it is not possible without chemicals, and the above claim is impossible. I let it go as it’s not worth debating in the context where the claim occurred.

Seriously. "Stronger grip" was the fix for damn near everything back then. The "shallow" of the era!

🤮 I went thru a period of trying to hit the ball like Paul Azinger. Strong grip. Open stance. Hit blocks on a rope all day.

NOPE! Hit a few ropes all right. Rope hooks. Followed by the inevitable frozen rope straight block 30 degrees right.

I am not Paul Azinger.

Looks like a stance and alignment  problem to me.  Don’t think duct tape, lead tape or any quick fix will work. Gonna have to go back to Aens basics and start over.

Today was really productive for me. Wife worked last night but called me wanted to go to Bojangles for breakfast. So we went. Came back home took a nap. Obviously I did not play the league today. I am playing the small money game 3 days this week. Did a range session trying out a club I bought some time ago really cheap. It is odd ball a Cobra hybrid called a 5 @29* has a Aldila senior flex shaft. I bought it for $10 about a year ago because I figured I would need it in the future. Never had hit it. Found it in the stash last night and thought WTH? Now the stock grip was a little undersized so I put one of my Crossline Cords on it. I know my tendency to hook hybrids so I did use 2 extra wraps of tape. I hit it today and man does it hit well. Fits in well when I need a soft high shot that is too little for the 9 wood. I can still hit my 4 iron but I pulled it out in lieu of the hybrid. If I need 4 iron trajectory I can play the 9 wood off my back foot and hit a screamer. Did an extended practice session with it and my wedges. Came in to rest and cool off and shoot the breeze with my league buds.

Ended up going out and played 8 practice holes. Worked on one of my old shots with the PW around the greens. I think I may have gotten my old touch back

Oh yes ended up with a new golf bag my first new one in years. The ringer kid who plays with us in the shootouts his Dad runs a Golf School at the course and is a TM dealer. He had ordered a TM Stand bag and decided he did not like it. He texted and shot me pics Sunday night. I got it for his cost of $100 it retails for like $195. My wife told me to buy it and she went to her drawer and gave me the $100. Today was the first day out on the range and course. Seems to work well on a riding cart. It is a TM Flex Lite. All of my bags are old and have age related issues (like me). The last new bag I got was given to me by our Titleist rep when we had the golf shop and I played the local minis. To be like 16 years old it is still in good shape and really I could use it but I do not like to be flashy or advertise. True the new bag does have TM on it but not so bold. Besides it is low key with the battered lead taped Macs in there along with a rusty 588 and the rusty Scotty

As they say on Roadkill "great day best day ever"

The monkey is off my back! I shot a 41 to his 42. It took a flop shot from a steep greenside bank that hit about a foot in front of the hole and rolled in for a birdie to do it. It was a great match and we had a ball.

Congratulations!  Way to. represent.

Congratulations!  Your GolfWRX gallery was with you on every shot.  Wish you could have beaten him by 8-10 shots, but I realize it's difficult to have a full backswing with a primate on your back.

Couldn't have done it without you guys!😅
