The power lines on hole 7 and 8 that are in play are interesting. They were hit 9 times yesterday, 8 were on the tee shot at hole 7. They said the lines were only hit twice for the entire week when the PGA was there.

Lydia is going to end up winning this.

Totally agree. Got into a rhythm today and it just feels like she's going to get stronger each day.

She stalks the leaderboard then makes her move on the weekend. It seems to work well for her.

Jenny Shin had a green side chip where she wanted to step back into a bunker to read it, and asked her caddie if he minded whether she went in.

Obviously he told her to go ahead, but I've never seen anything like that. It's polite, I suppose, but it seemed ridiculous.

Would like to see Bubba ask Ted Scott if he minded whether he stepped into a bunker to read a green.

I'm just glad she didn't ask him using her phony British/Australian accent.

Without seeing the hole it must be where the tee is locate for the women?

Probably. They didn't really show it well on tv.

I wouldn't give it to LK just yet, she took advantage of the morning conditions but she wont see them again so nothing is a given.

Be interesting to see the scores tomorrow, I have a feeling there wont be many (if any) scores under par.

Hats off to Mo Martin, sitting in T10 on a course that must seem a bit of a monster..

She did what she had to and are up there now.

the other girls seeing her name there pushes the pressure up for them.

I rewound it twice to make sure I heard it correctly. Bizarre.

Is the USGA going to have the course set up where it plays the same for morning and afternoon players? With the exception of Sandra Gal and a couple others it looks like top players made the cut.

It appeared there were a lot fewer spectators than last year at Lancaster, PA. I was at Lancaster all week and it was a zoo.

Is it just me but the quality of the picture FOX provided seemed far superior to the GC broadcast? Maybe it was just the bright sunshine\background terrain.

Well, of course if you were to back one person to win it would be LK.

It would be good, however, if one or two of the other golfers shot a really low 3rd round. Likely suspects: Amy Yang, Sung Hyun Park, Haru Nomura.... Minjee Lee and Sei Young Kim are a bit far back now.

Has an Asian feel about it, which is nothing new....

The way scores have been I am not sure anyone is really out of it. Ariya should have a good round in her for example. What we have seen so far is that if you are really on top of your game you can shoot 6 under or so. If off a tiny bit over par is in the picture. The course is long and the rough is up. Should be a good weekend.

Sung Hyun Park is like from the future or something. I hope she wins, sends a message to young golf girls everywhere. You don't have to be big to hit it far. #technique

Big as in tall? She's 5'7"

I'd certainly like to see her win - I love Lydia's game and I'd be happy to see her win, but something new is always nice.....

Does any body know if Ledbetter was there on the range friday morning.

Watched Lydia hit range balls and play 9 on Wednesday. She played the first 3 holes w/o ledbetter, and she hit every fairway and green. Her Downswing looked completely different than what she was doing on the range. Then David showed up and she switched to what they were working on, and she began hitting it everywhere. I know David was there on thursday morning and she played awful

It is a testament of Lydia's talent that she has withstood Leadbetter trying to ruin her swing.

So Fox coverage Saturday doesn't start until 3pm EST/noon PST. They have 4 hours of coverage but the final groups will be on the 7th hole before the TV broadcast starts. They'll be finished way before the 4 hours of broadcast time is finished. Unless they're planning to tape delay this thing what are they planning to do with the extra time?

I'm watching right now on the USGA site and chromecasting to my HDTV which works quite well.

Curious, if Leadbetter is so bad for Ko why doesn't she just dump him?

I can't see how they could. The early players are likely once again to have an easier course to deal with. The wind and the sun start drying out the course, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the early players make a move on the leaders.

Yeah, Fox has decent cameras. 'Probably a result of their NFL coverage.

She certainly hasn't picked up a yard of distance off the tee, as she's basically averaging the same as she did pre-DL. Learning to work the ball right to left has been an improvement, though.

Have you been paying attention to the length of the rounds? Lol. They've been pushing 5 hours easy.

The answer to the earlier question was year DL was with her warning up Friday morning. Seems to me she is doing quite well with him.

2 hours and 44 minutes to play the front nine. We'll be luck if they finish in the broadcast window...
