Back to almost a full strength field this week with only Inbee Park missing due to her injury otherwise it would be the strongest this year. Top players from the KLPGA and JALPA are also in the field. Plenty of live coverage including a special feature group and is covered by the USGA and Fox so no GC this week. Majors always attract more input to this forum and it would be good if anyone knows this course or is attending can contribute before it gets underway.

 

I guess the marquee grouping to start will be Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko.

 

Little change to the RR this week and due to the very weak field last week fewer points were on offer. Brooke made a small gain for the win and Stacy jumped back up a spot for her 2nd. Last chance for players to qualify for the Olympics this week with good RR points on offer.

Doubtful. The US Womens' Open is on FS1/FOX. The Golf Channel will not be broadcasting any of the event.

One can only hope. I just don't see her putting well enough, and those wedge distances have to get better.

 

My 3 favorite players right now, are Brooke (won the last major), Lydia (won the 2 before that), and In-Gee (defending champ).

 

One thing they have in common, they truly look to enjoy their craft, none of them can help but smile on the golf course. I am really looking forward to this tournament.

The pairing with In Gee, O'Sullivan and Stacy is apparently a traditional pairing of the reigning US Women's Open champ, the US Women's Am winner and the British Women's Open champ, with Inbee out Stacy got the nod there..

Went to two practice rounds. Honestly no one was there. I watching Lydia Ko play today in the afternoon. Maybe 25 people tops following her. Watched Piller, Wie, Lewis, and Webb in the morning less than 15.

 

I really wanted to watch Brooke Henderson, but walking up at 5 and driving from Monterey just did not sound fun

Alot of the groupings were people who knew each other, or did not know one another at all. Some of the super stars played together and bunch of people played with no names
