22 players have played more than 2 holes on back 9. All of them are over par on back 9. Thats crazy.

I like that back 9 are extremely hard, front 9 is playing very easy.

I don't like the coverage we get in Europe at all. Total focus on 3 "featured groups", it is completely different than it used to be. People like Manassero and Colsearts are well into their rounds and closing in on the leaders and I have not seen a single shot by them. Jaidee through 14 already and at -1, same thing, not a single shot. Also Ross Fisher going well, and all I have seen from him were random putts here and there.

I hate this type of coverage, when they decide on whom they will be showing before it even starts and then stick with that.

And while I am at it ranting, I also hate the fact that they have perfect weather there, while I am stuck in front of the TV because of 75 kph winds, gusting to about 90, here in Vienna, with showers thrown in as well. Typical Open weather, you might say, but I took two days off, planning on playing golf in the morning, and watching recorded golf in the afternoon. Meh.

It's always the case in big events. We always see the big names shots, for the others they only show them when they are really up the leaderboard and when they make a move and that's only on the putting green. .sadly I agree

Edit: Back 9 is just brutal... On a windy day they will be happy to break 40 on those holes.

It's a fair mix of players but an awful lot of putting. It may be that it's not representational of the coverage generally as they concentrated on the McIlroy group as they all putted and it took them a lot of putts collectively to hole out.

 

I have to say that generally I have enjoyed the coverage (Fowler putt and Rory group tee shots since the break)

 

Maybe we need more Soomin and less Rory. We'll see what happens over the weekend.
