Michigan

  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why?

Blade-psychological. I tend to hit chips/pitches fat much more often with a cavity back wedge. I tried out a 588 Rotex CB wedge a few years back and much preferred the blade. I did prefer the CB on full shots though, so if my iron set didn't already have a GW I would use it for full shots.

  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions)

2 dot (V-MG). I play in different conditions and like to keep it simple. 2-dot has worked for me in the past.

  • Prefered Finish? Why?

Tour satin. Like the classic dull/matte look.

  • Preferred Lofts?

54/58

  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedges

Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why?

Blade. I love the look of the blade wedge.

Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions)

MG grind for me. I play in Michigan and depending on the day the fairways can be hard as rock or soaked, so the mid bounce would work best.

Prefered Finish? Why?

Tour Raw. That gold finish looks awesome new and then when it starts to rust will look even better

Preferred Lofts?

50/54/60

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)? Yorba Linda, CA
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Blade - I prefer the more compact size.
  • Preferred Sole Grind? V-MG mid bounce grind. I prefer a versatile wedge because play a variety of courses with varying conditions and I often end up trying a variety of different shots as well.
  • Prefered Finish? Why? Black Satin - First, the black finish provides great contrast to the ball for good alignment and contact. Second, it reduces glare from the sun. Lastly, it makes the club head look a bit smaller.
  • Preferred Lofts? 58, 54, 50
  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedges. Absolutely!

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)? Vacaville, CA
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Cavity Back. Would like the wedges to match the other irons in my bag.
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions) V-MG. Course conditions in CA can vary from bone dry to soaking wet. A grind that can handle it all is necessary.
  • Prefered Finish? Why? Tour Satin (Brushed chrome). Attractive, matching, durable finish.
  • Preferred Lofts? 52°, 56°, 60°
  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedges. Absolutely. I have done other reviews on and for GolfWRX. If you care to evaluate them, they can be found on my thread starters and contributions to products. Very many "Likes" for the reviews.

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)? Florida
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Players Cavity Back is what I've been gaming since leaving college. Just like the little added forgiveness
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions) Play the SS in the Pings. Haven't really experimented with many sole grinds but would love the opportunity.
  • Prefered Finish? Why? have played various finishes. Only objections is chrome. Any other will do fine
  • Preferred Lofts? 52, 56 & 60
  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedges. I would most definitely participate and include photos along with a thorough review of each wedge.

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)?
  • Ohio
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why?
  • Blade: Fits in with the rest of my iron set. I have found with my 50* that I am able to control distance better and even shape shots with blade-style wedges.
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why?
  • V-LG in 54, 58. V-MG in 50 (if this is only grind available in the 50). Though my course conditions in Ohio can get wet, we are usually firm and I rarely chunk because I am a sweeper/picker.
  • Prefered Finish? Why?
  • Raw. I recently de-chromed my irons and think the Raw would match the finish of my irons. I've enjoyed the reduced glare this provides.
  • Preferred Lofts
  • 50, 54 and 58, please!
  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedge?
  • Absolutely. I currently play Mizuno MP T-5s and am not thrilled with them. It would be great to have Cleveland's top equipment to do a comparison with. I have not played Cleveland wedges before and would like to see what they're all about.

  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? I mostly play on Zoysia, which presents fluffier fairway lies than bent/bermuda.

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)? Bedminster, NJ
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Blade, due to the better looks and finer control.
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions)Currently use "tour" grind, which is most similar to a "C" grind. I also can use an "S" grind. Bounce between 9-12, due to firmer sand and fairway conditions.
  • Prefered Finish? Why? Satin or nickle. I don't like the glare from chrome finish on sunny days.
  • Preferred Lofts? Either 52, 56, 60 or 50, 55, 60... Depends on the loft of the pitching wedge.
  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedges. Yes, and I would be able to compare them to 3 Callaway MD2 wedges.

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)? Valencia, CA
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Blade. I prefer the consistency and control, as well as the feel off the face at impact compared to the trampoline effect that comes with a cavity back.
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions) the V-LG for the lob wedge and V-MG Sand and Gap wedges. I like having minimal bounce on my lob wedge to be able to play a variety of shots off of the firm CA soil i deal with on a regular basis. As well I like having mid range bounce in my sand and gap wedges because i prefer to play mostly full shots and I find that to be the most forgiving. As well depending on sand conditions I will play a mid bounce wedge in thick "new" sand.
  • Preferred Finish? Why? Tour Satin. I currently am playing Nike Engage wedges which are a raw finish and I'd like to try something that frames the ball without the added "patina" on the face that would happen over time.
  • Preferred Lofts? 50 V-MG, 54 V-MG, and 58 V-LG
  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedges. Absolutely! I have been a long time reader of this forum and site and would love to add some reviews of brand new product to help others find the right club for them! I would compare them with my Nike Engage Wedges Even though they are no longer being produced it can still be a relevant comparison.

Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? BLADE. Its familiar to me which makes for better results.

Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions)- V-MG. Soft or firm. Courses in the area can go either way. Need an all around wedge grind

Prefered Finish? Tour Satin. Its a familiar look.

Preferred Lofts? 50, 54, 58

If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? We require you provide hi-res, quality photos, and provide a review of the wedges. ABSOLUTELY! My wedge play has been awesome. I'm a student of Pelz's method and he likes Clevelands. Expect these to work into my game seamlessly.

  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Blade, I prefer blade wedges for the feel and feedback for touch and finesse shots.
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions) FG - Full Grind, typically the courses by me are pretty soft and lush. I'd also be open to the Medium Grind as well. Typically I've had better success with bounces of 8* and greater as opposed to lower bounce.
  • Prefered Finish? Why? Raw, I love a rusty wedge.
  • Preferred Lofts? 58*

  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Blade based purely on looks. I have tried a few cavity back wedges and just didn't like the look of them.
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions) V-MG because of the versatility they will provide around all types of turf that I play on.
  • Prefered Finish? Why? Tour Raw, really like the look of raw wedges.
  • Preferred Lofts? 52*, 56*, 60*

  • Where are you located Southern California
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Blade Why? I like the feel of blade like wedges, all about control and feedback
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? V-FG in Lob Wedge (Most versatile with regard to angles of attack, easier to get under the ball in tight lies), V-MG in Sand Wedge (Most versatile for the varying types of Sand where I play), V-MG in Gap Wedge (It's the only grind available in Gap Wedge loft, sadly)
  • Prefered Finish? Black Satin Why? It's a nice contrast to the ball for shots that require a good deal of feel. Plus I like the wear the face will eventually have after a lot of use
  • Preferred Lofts? 50, 55, 60 are preferred, but since 55 is not available I'd say 50, 54, 58 (I've never tried a 58 degree wedge and am eager to see how it performs)
  • If selected, do you agree to participate in an ongoing review thread? Absolutely, feedback is very important and the more we can get the better

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)? Pasadena, CA
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Blade, as they fit my eye better, and I tend to get better performance from them
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions) V-LG, I tend to have a shallow angle on my wedge shots, and play in California where the drought has taken it's tole, meaning courses are generally drier & firmer
  • Prefered Finish? Why? Tour Raw, as I like the rusted look with my current wedges, and think they wear better.
  • Preferred Lofts? 50* / 54* / 58*

  • Where are you located (State - US Only Please)? Buffalo, NY
  • Preferred Model (Blade or Cavity Back)? Why? Blade, it's what I'm used to and I'm used to the touch/feel for the shorter shots
  • Preferred Sole Grind? Why? (feel free to post pictures of your local conditions) VMG for all, I play varying conditions depending on the time of the year and I don't like/need to have different wedge sets for conditions so versatility is key. I currently play an all Cleveland setup and use all 2 dots.
  • Prefered Finish? Why? Black Satin, love the look
  • Preferred Lofts? 48, 52, 56
