Hit a few balls with the F7+. Definitely a huge improvement on sound and feel from the 6+. It sets up very nicely at address also.

Had a chance to hit the standard F7 in stock Stiff shaft only.

Beautiful looking driver. Didn't perform for me though. Unsure if it's head or shaft or combo of both.

Couldn't get the spin under 3000. And these were toe side strikes. With the weight back spin was over 3500 with it up front I had about a 200-350 spin drop but my shots still ballooned.

The heel position is terrible feels weird.

I swing around 100-105mph. 12HCP.

It's also very possible a heavier shaft would help. When they get the F7+ in I'll bring in my F6+ to compare and use my gamer shaft.

Did you try a low spinning shaft like the Hzrdus?

Are these Hzrdus shaft offerings that are no upcharge the "real deal" or "made fors"?

Real deal, there just not the handcrafted!

Is there a difference performance wise between the handcrafted and non-handcrafted?

No difference in performance really. The quality control and talarance is tighter with the handcrafted.

Has anyone attempted to install a new grip but keep the Arccos sensor? I'm not a fan of the stock grip at all and I'd really like to switch to an MCC +4.

At first I was thinking the sensor was just plugged into the end of the shaft and the grip just had the end cut out to allow access, but from what I can tell I think its actually part of the grip, like it's built into the end cap. I guess I could cut it out of the stock grip and figure out a way to attach it to the end of the shaft and then cut a hole in the end of the new grip, but wanted to check and see if anyone has already tried this and figured it out. I know it's new tech so initial choices are going to be limited but I really hope someone other than Lamkin decides to start making grips for this system.

I guess I'll give it a shot and report back... if I lose the Arccos feature I won't be heartbroken, but if I can keep it and have the grip I want that would be ideal.

Could you just keep it in your pocket or attach it to your bag?

Short update. F7 with the Tensei 60 (45" D3) arrived Friday and played 9 yesterday afternoon at 9.5* with weight in the back position. I normally hate the feel of carbon drivers but I absolutely love this club. Feedback is great. Look at setup is perfect and reminds me at bit of the 917. As for performance, the thing performs. Drives were penetrating 18mph winds and finding the fairway. Zero ballooning. Tensei shaft works so good with this head and at no charge you'd be dumb not to upgrade. Can't wait for the weather to chill out so I can spend some more time with it. The team at Cobra has a winner on its hands.

Got my new F7+ today. Just noticed that while the shaft adapter is still the same, the screw is a different size than my bio cell +. When and why did they change the size of the tourque screw? Also when you take the screw off, where does that small piece that holds it back in place go??!

I can't answer why they changed it but when the King line came out last year, the screw size changed. I noticed that the King LTD screw was a shorter screw as well as the torque wrench was bigger. I'm guessing that since the screw is smaller, the rubber ring that holds the screw in place tends to fall off. I've had it happen twice. It can fall into the head itself if you're not careful. Luckily I was able to get it out both times. I don't know if they are using the same, smaller screw on the F7 as they did with the LTD but I would assume they are. If you can't get the rubber ring out, I would be contacting Cobra.

Cobra had been using a smaller hex screw for a while. Starting last year they switched to the same size as other OEMs. I always keep the older smaller Cobra wrench in my bag, because it fits in every club.

I believe the threads of the screw are the same size but the head is larger, to fit with other brands wrenches is what I remember reading.

When my rubber gasket fell off and got lost Cobra told me it was not even needed and to just use the screw without it

Thanks guys. I've tried to take the screw out carefully before and the rubber gasket dissappeara everytime, it's annoying. I guess you dontneed it but it'd be nice for the screw not to fall out when u change shafts. Ah well. And I don't think the thread size is the same. The hole in the shaft adapters look to be different sizes.

Last time I called them for a stripped screw on my King LTD Pro driver (and subsequently lost washer, not to mention a damaged Cobra wrench), they told me they weren't able to send me a replacement screw and that I should go to Golf Galaxy or DSG to get it sent in.

All my WTFs.

I've never had a single good experience with Cobra CS, in 3 attempts.

Just another data point

I'm with you here 100%. Even when I went from F6+ to LTD Pro, the screw seemed smaller in diameter on the LTD but the new torque wrench fit the head of the screw.

Must just be me then, but at this point honestly, I don't know why I keep purchasing their clubs (I purchase too many golf clubs in all honesty)...

Strike 1: Amp Cell driver. My Matrix 6M3 shaft breaks under the grip at the driving range. Never had that happen with any other club, before or since. I'd had it for less than a year. Contact them, dutifully take it to Golf Galaxy, they send it in to them, and they refuse to repair/replace the shaft. Even the folks at Golf Galaxy were baffled. Club had never been altered and had the original Cobra grip still on it. Thankfully, I had the sense to contact the retailer I purchased from and they replaced the club no questions asked

Strike 2: Bio Cell driver, less than a month old. Snaps at the hosel on the course. Call them, dutifully take it to Golf Galaxy, it was a whole 2.5 months before I got the club back. In a 4 month golf season that's totally unacceptable.

Strike 3: as described above.

That's 3 chances for them to make something of a good impression on me, but going forward, they won't be getting my hard earned cash. The Black LTD driver I bought this winter is the last club I'll ever purchase from them.

But from these interactions, I'll gripe about their customer service every time customer service comes up.

Because in this day and age, that's what happens when you screw over a customer thrice. In stark contrast to the great Customer Service I've received from TaylorMade, Callaway and Ping, all too notch in my book

You seem to break shafts a lot.

So far I've had 2 shafts break, both of them in Cobra drivers. Out of dozens of drivers that I've owned during this period. That's a lot yeah? And I'm sure it's just me.
