I took it into the bay where I work and the boost was off. Same result. More consistent.

 

Negative. You're never getting 300 yard drives from sub 150 mph ball speed (160 mph for that matter)

You also probably hit the ping low on the face judging by launch angles

GC2 (especially older software like you have) massively exaggerates distance on low spin.

 

2 years ago on the software you have I tried my Cleveland Classic vs SLDR. Ball speeds for both were around 172-173. I hit one at 17*/1700 rpm with the SLDR and it said it went 370.

 

The numbers aren't true at low spin. Sorry to hurt your ego

102SS x 3.16 -85.2 = about 238 avg carry distance or 148 mph ball speed X 2.04 - 65 = 237 carry. no monitor needed.

I don't care about the actual distance. Give me the better dispersion. That's what I care about. Consistency is king to me. The more predictable the better.

Hit the f7 and f7+ tonight at GG. Swing was awful but I liked the look and feel of the f7+ much better. F7 looked way too big for my taste.

I feel the exact same way. I've seen both clubs and kind of want the cobra to win out. I'll have to spend more time with both to see who the winner is.

Agree but will also compare the JPX900 too. In testing I have the 900 slightly outperforming the F7+. But that is with the stock shaft in the F7+. When fitting I'm pretty sure it will do more

I was surprised by the 900! I remember not being very impressed with the 650 driver but the 900 is a whole new beast. The F7+ & 900 are super close. Now on to try the EPIC's and 2017 M series drivers.

F7/F7+ demos are out at DSG, RTX-3 too btw. It's a new store with a new sim, and I have another couple weeks off...sorry kids.

Other than slightly different loft (F7 goes from 9-12 degrees, F7+ 8-11), it doesn't seem like there is much difference from the F7 to F7+. I wonder if most would be better in the F7 and just saving the $50 difference.

 

I think that applies to much of what is talked about on this site. If it isn't labeled Pro, Tour, or +, nobody here will admit to gaming it.

I'd bet that if most makers had the exact same club as the regular version, but with a Tour or Pro label on it people would be talking about how easy it was to work, etc.

Hit it today with the weight forward on the F7+ I didn't bother with the normal F7 as I like the look much better on the + version. It was very similar to my Ping G LS I currently use. Very nice driver with a good feel and sound. I won't be purchasing because it performs just like the G LS I currently have but it is a very good driver if people are in the market this year.
