hahaha that guy came in like he was super insider and knew more than anyone else and started back tracking and reversing like the tornado he "chases" started heading right at him which is exactly what happened. Dude doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. There are tons of stats to back up the fact that golf businesses don't do as well when he is not playing and when he is things start get going in the right direction. Nike golf clubs started a steady decline the day he stopped playing until they died. there are multiple reasons why golf is dying as a whole but the dude is wrong to think that the current crop of "young stars" will not spark a resurgence of the golf business like Tiger does for the game.

On another note, I heard he's already signed a deal to game and be spokesperson for the "new" Spin Doctor RI wedge series, outfitted with tour grinds no less! Can't wait to see how far he can back it up in the parking lot on those 4 a.m. Infomercials on the golf channel.

His official statement said they are currently working on a suitable set of irons and trying to get the grinds on his wedges tuned in. Sounds like there will be a delay with everything but the woods and driver.

Nonsense. Cobra and Ping make some terrific woods. I fit hundreds of players each year at all handicap levels and no one OEM has ever emerged as CLEARLY superior to the others. Both the Cobra King Ltd and Ping G outperformed TM and Callaway for me, including the Epic and the newer M1 and M2. Getting the right shaft flex, weight, length, head loft, and face angle have far more positive effects than blindly stating the superiority of a particular marque.

I mean for good players that bring it. Literally 85% of our 45 guys play M series or Epic, and we hit everything. Just about every head and shaft combination you can think of. These are guys that hit the ball solidly and most play competitive golf up to the highest level. What your average 15 handicap fits best in, I have no idea.
