Yeah I noticed that post earlier, unsure as to whether or not it is a commercial shoot.

Any idea if he's hitting '17 m1/m2 or is it the same '16 m2?

 

Judging by the looks, I think it is the '16 version. The white portion of the crown is thinner in this years' release.

 

Side note: Did anyone hear him get asked and respond in one of the videos: "Aren't you planning on making your own clubs?" ...."That's what I hear..."

Callaway thing looks like it ended in testing, I'm glad. I wonder if the Taylormade commercial shoot is true. As far as mizuno, he may be waiting until an agreement is reached to publicize his irons. I'm very curious about wedges.

It has been widely documented on many threads already that any Nike staffer will continue to get paid by Nike the full money from their contracts until they expire but they are free to use any equipment! If they sign a deal with anyone for equipment then that money will be deducted from what Nike has to pay the player! Considering this Makes no sense for any Nike staffer to sign a deal unless they find something they love and are happy to commit to a deal!

I have no inside information on this but I would be willing to bet that Tigers contract with Nike won't "fluctuate" because he is in different clubs and they are paying him X...He has his own line of clothing and shoes with the company. The only golfer to do that and he basically put Nike golf on the map. This may very well be the case with the likes of every other PGA tour player including Rory but with Tiger I highly doubt if mizuno or TM pay him $5mm a year they will subtract $5mm from his Nike contract. Maybe $1-3mm but I would be SHOCKED if it was a 1:1 scenario

Nike (more specifically Mike Taylor) made tiger's irons. Bridgestone originally manufactured Nike designed balls in their factories, otherwise known as outsourcing, until Nike used rzn material. No conspiracy theories here. Move on

I'm sure apparel money was separated from his equipment money when Nike went out. No reason anymore for them to try and promote their clubs. Nike will reduce what he's getting paid for using their equipment and clothing money will remain constant.

Sorry guys. The EPIC star turned out to be just a standard EPIC model (non Subzero) for the Japanese market which eliminated the shaft adaptor to suit the market that prefers lighter head weight.

I believe Ishikawa is set to game the EPIC star on tour.

Don't see any evidence that tiger will use callaway woods or drivers! Think he will definitely have M2 driver in play next week. Although does seem to be switching between 16 and 17 versions

I have no idea if he is testing or will use Callaway woods but this was the same stuff everyone said about Tiger using TM woods before pictures emerged which took months. Tiger isn't stupid and knows the camera is on him at all times. If he gets photographed with a club its' because it's in the bag. If he's testing Callaway or whatever he isn't showing up to a public event with it until he's 100% about it. So no one here can say whether he is or isn't testing something.
