A lot of guys going to the JPX900 Tour. Says an awful lot about the line that used to be viewed as Mizuno's more "game improvement" side. I know Mizuno will tell you JPX is more the technology line while MP is more the purity line, but still seeing tour players switch out of MP is pretty incredible, I think.

has a 15 degree 3 wood and a 16 degree hybrid, what are the actual specs? My 16.5 degree hybrid is as long or longer than my old flyz+ 3 wood, that is why I took it out of the bag

I've posted this before, in my opinion, the JPX900 Tours are a direct competitor to the AP2's, the forged are a bit more game improvement, and the hot metals are more in line with the AP1's.

For Luke to put the 900 Tour irons in the bag just shows me how good they must be.

Luke does not change irons very often.

Seams like he has been a TM driver guy for a long time now.

Better performance or Tee up $$$$? Or both?

No name player cares about $1500. Luke is a millionaire 30 times over. He, and every other name player play what gives them the best chance to win, unless contractually obligated otherwise. Tee up money of any kind is 100% irrelevant to anyone who's name you recognize.

His driver and FW wood shafts have been around the block too. Don't see the flex on his irons?

Yeah, he's been playing that Accra or a version of it for years. Glad to see him sticking with it. He's played S300 forever so it's probably that.

Well, he has been paid to use the Taylormade driver in the past. Just checked the Taylormade staff site and he's not listed there currently (not sure if that's accurate), he still has them as a partner on his personal webpage.

I think as far as drivers go, you know Taylormade is always going to have a very competitive product so if they've historically paid more than others, might as well go for it. Probably covers your expenses if you miss the cut that week.

There's certainly a difference between being on staff and tee up pennies. That difference is about 500k vs 25k a season.

Serious question: Do any tour pros play the mizuno woods?

LD has had them in the bag in the past but they never seem to last. Its a shame because they make some great woods. I remember seeing a WITB just last year with an old school mizuno fairway wood in the bag but I can't think of his name.

Ross Fisher has switched to the JPX 900 Tour as well after trying out MP4s and 5s and I think Faldo was bagging them in South Africa a couple if weeks ago...must be some club.

If he was getting paid by TM I would think he would have TM head covers not the Mizuno ones.
