I've noticed that Mike's has disabled most of their promo codes that were often good for awhile.  I suppose they could just be riding the golf boom like every other retailer, and trying to maximize profits while demand is so high.  That's just speculation on my part.  But they haven't had a functioning code that I am aware of for some time, after having functioning codes for a good long while until several months ago.

It seems ever since the pandemic started, the promo codes have disappeared and they have increased their prices dramatically.  I used to buy from Mikes, they had good prices and with the promo codes you could get some killer deals.  Now it seems they are using the same pricing strategy as 2ndSwing, pricing used just barely under new retail.

One good thing about the stupid pricing of Mike's, Global Golf, 2nd Swing, etc., is that it is preventing me from making unnecessary impulse purchases just because it is a good deal.  Because there are hardly any good used deals right now.

I know they got bought out/partnered with one of the bigger golf companies might have changed their philosophy regarding discount codes, etc.

They pretty much stopped doing discounts, very occasionally they’ll have a 10% off sale. I miss the days of them regularly having 20% off sales.

It always feel like a mom/pop store when I go in there.
