0 golf equipment!!! Really really surprising for me to say that. Apex CF 16's are plenty fine and long for me, GBB driver as well... If anything I'd buy a new shaft for my 3 wood and a 54 and 60* wedge. That's really about it!!

I am recently back to the game and have a 30+ year old kit.

 

I had snapped my '83ish vintage Taylormade Burner's graphite shaft a couple years back so I went and demoed several drivers and selected a 2009 Burner to replace it (not going to spend money on new clubs before I am back into a groove and know how to best fit my game).

 

I also got a new pair of Nike shoes in the soft spike style now standard. They are pretty comfy.

 

Also regripped a couple clubs into midsized grips for upcoming lessons, and have bought 3 buckets of balls to hit in the meantime.

Yesterday, I bought a steel shafted 58 degree Callaway Sure Out wedge ... the first new (as opposed to second hand) club I have bought for quite some time. I want it to solve my "around the green" woes ... it has a large weight of expectation on its shoulders! Lol.

Last year was my first year really playing on a regular basis and just bought a cheap set of Taylormade Aeroburners and struggled with consistency. This year I've done a complete overhaul of my bag by switching to Cobra. So far this year I've bought the F6+ driver, F6 Baffler, Ping Darby Sigma G and just yesterday I snagged the F6 irons from RBG for a heck of a price. I've also been gaming the new Srixon Z star ball and I have found so much more consistency in my game. I've also added a couple pairs of Puma shoes and other apparel to the list. Next up is some wedges, still haven't decided between the King Wedges or the Mizuno S5's. It's been an expensive year for me but money well spent I think.
