I found the original flowerband to be the best version very stable not to harsh. The Ahina was very popular I found it the same as the original. I also like the W series similar with a little more kick to it. I didn't find the d+ series that great. The og whiteboard plays so good in the older higher spin heads. Almost magic in any head from 05-2011.

I have the D+ 72 grams (I think) in a Callaway X2Hot 3Deep and I really like it. Very accurate and long. Use it off the tee all the time and have high confidence in it. It launches much lower than the Blueboard and I get nice penetrating flight and does not spin too much. I also hit it in a borrowed Ping driver and it was great as well. I love the Diamana shafts but I do find I hit them better in the 70 grams and up range.

Just started using the OG flowerband whiteboard 73 in my driver. It's the best shaft I've played without question.

Original whiteboard and blueboard were the best graphite shafts ever made, in my opinion.

Did anyone find it performs better in a driver vs a 3 wood or vice versa

Like it better in a driver, and Blueboards in the fairways. Can still work fine in fairways if you want a firmer feel and lower launch.

I'll offer my 2 cents. I've gone back to the D+ 70 over and over again and I've tried quite of few of the popular ones over the last 3 years. I've got one in a G LS Tec right now that I have just 9 holes and range time with but it's very stable and just picked up the 816 DBD with one to test against it. My rock steady 3W XHot Pro has the 80 in it and it may leave my bag time to time but will never leave my house in the form of a brown box. I do agree that 70 & up has a better feel. I really enjoyed it in the Vapor Fly Pro, Callaway XR16 Pro and now G LS Tec heads, just felt like a different, more solid contact to me. YMMV

I still play the D+ 82 in my 3W, I have the driver as well (D+ 72) for my G LST, but the stock Alta shaft is giving me the best results, the 3W, however, is a monster off the tee or the turf...they agree with my swing, so for me, they are really good...

I'm sure this question has been asked before however I'm going to ask it anyway. How many versions of the whiteboard shaft are there and which one do you guys find performs the best, what difference do you guys between them?

Original Whiteboard (flowerband)

D+

Ahina

W series

D+Plus

Also some "made for" watered down versions in there that Im not going to bother mentioning. The only one I haven't tried was the D+Plus. The flowerband and Ahina are the 2 I had the longest run with. The W series seemed a bit more spinny than them, not much just a touch. I have been using the Tensei white and really like it, its def of the same profile just with more refined materials.

I've played the original D 73 White Board and it was a superb shaft. I also played the 'ahina 70 for a stretch and while good, it didn't quite feel as smooth as the original. Can't speak for the W series, but the TX flex D+ 70 (the gray one) is relatively close to the original D 73 White Board. I've swung the D+ 70 Limited a few times and for some reason or another just didn't click with it.

i have 2 OG WBs, one tipped 1" and another tipped 1.5" - it is a legendary shaft! I have it in a F7+ head and previously in an LTD. I haven't hit it on trackman against anything new lately, but have a speedrulz type C 70x and a 2KXV 70x that will be competing against it in a few weeks. Just get one and you'll love it.

Diamana Whiteboard 73 in my Titleist 905R was the longest lasting combo in my bag. I loved that shaft. Sadly fried it when I tried pulling it. Too anxious. Whaaa!

Agree the OG and the Ahina were very similar and classics. I personally have better luck with the ahina.

The W has a similar feel with a more pronounced kick at impact...awesome underrated driver shaft.

The D+'s IMO Yuck..........Although I have heard the Limited is a much better shaft just haven't hit it.

I'm not exactly sure why they tried to deviate from any of the original versions. Of all the threads like this I've seen, the original blue/white profile still ranks at the top. They should just admit they built a really good shaft, and remake it...no fluff, no "new" materials, no tweaking the profile...just make them again. They'll sell on their own just fine.

Want to try a tensei white, but have been using the WB in my sig since last year. Easily one of the best combos I've ever had. I've also been trying to find a couple WB backups. Never really got along with the other versions even though they felt pretty similar, the newer D+ is probably the only one I don't like at all.

I also wish folks would stop calling the newer versions (D+ etc) a whiteboard when they list them on the BST. Gets my hopes up when I see the thread title. :)

You can get the Ahina 60 Xstiff new from Dallas Golf with adapter and grip for $99 plus shipping. This was the next version after the original whiteboard that you have.
