It was at the Range, so it does not hold that much water. But his misses/shots were tighter. So good information going forward.

 

Now he is going to get his lie angles checked on his irons as well.

Most eye opening was I thought I was hitting up on it quite a bit given moon-ball/fairway plug tendencies, in reality I was hitting down a touch. When really trying I could get it to about +3 degrees. Big props to Tex.

Average attack angle on the PGA Tour per Trackman is close to -1. There's nothing wrong with hitting slightly down on your driver if it's fit properly.

I'm not a bucket guy, but I'm interested in trying the same style hat as the Fishers Island hat Joel Dahmen has been wearing recently.

 

It's like a mix between a boonie, and a bucket.

Got saved by my "spare parts" bag yesterday. After waiting 7 days for a PM Grind to get delivered, I pick up the box to see it's kinked. I hear a rattle...no bueno.

 

Shaft was cleaved in two. So my choices were 1) deal with UPS and wait weeks to have Callaway build a replacement or 2) grab an S400 from the shed and reshaft it. Thankfully I had an extra wedge I wasn't using that could be blood sacrificed.

For people who don't wear buckets, going immediately to a bucket with a very large brim it difficult. You'll look in the mirror and go, "I look like the flying nun".

 

It helps if you're not a small guy (like Domes or Nerf).

 

But if Fabb goes right to Dahmen bucket, he's going to look in the mirror and think he's Toad from Mario.

 

When I played in Bandon, I played with a guy who was a member at Fishers. I asked him what the logo was on his hat (and I think he thought I was f***ing with him) and he told me Fishers Island and then I go, "what's that?" then I REALLY think he thought I was f'n with him.

 

I literally had no idea what Fisher's Island was.

 

His son had just graduated college and was going to work on Wall Street at KPMG (ah, the sweet smell of privilege). They both threw temper tantrums and did things like skull shots over the green and at one point their bags blew over in the wind. In short, f those guys.

Going 2 out 3 days with the bucket for the MG. Just don't have a 3rd that works with electric blue shorts.

These are bingo for long rounds in the sun. As are buckets and sunglasses. Can't handle glare.
