Even the way he moves through the pickup with his footwork is pretty spry. Could've very easily stumbled, but he didn't.

Gotta love Marching Percussion... Though I am fat, I can still move with a small level of competence.

I can almost count it. . .

I don’t think I’ve met altsean. Is that Chef?

It’s Sean..

Tall white guy without glasses

I’ve been absent lately, but look forward to playing this Saturday and hanging with the Hive. My FIL passed away unexpectedly last month and we just moved from Annapolis to Annandale so it’s been a busy time and not a lot of golf. Looking forward to meeting GSRJC!

Sweet (about Annandale, not your FIL), another new member of the NoVA brigade. I spend half my life in Annandale as my kid plays soccer out of there.

Puppet: We need to organize an orientation round for the new NoVA members.

Faek News. I'll actually be putting that to the test this week. Kids are at camp, wife is on business travel and boss is on PTO. Going to try to draw him out.

Not sure if it'll get him to play golf, but I know how you can catch him.

Just tell him to meet you at Potomac Shores, then wait by the sign. He'll be there taking pics of his car.

Sounds good, I need to get out there more and get back game back in shape.

If NoVA folks are interested, I can get us on either of the Army / Navy courses in Arlington or Fairfax.

I'm probably blowing off work this Friday if you guys want to hit Bull Run. I'll be offering free demos with my Even Flow T1100 65 6.0 driver shaft, Speeder Evo IV 757 driver shaft, and Fuji Pro 115 irons shafts (or any other random shaft I have lying around).

is this NoVA folks only? this MoCo guy would love to join you there. Played there once with a lefty that used to post on here (name escapes me), GooseHook and RoastBeefCurtains. i think tex and burnsniper and a couple others were with us too. great course, but the 18th hole was almost as bad as the 18th at RTJ course at Lansdowne.

edit: we played the arlington course

Of course you're welcome. They have 27 holes at Arlington and 27 holes at Fairfax. The guest rate is kind of high, I think it's $90 walking, but it's for unlimited golf so if we play all 27 holes, the cost isn't too bad.

the fairfax course is great. Not just good, it's great.

The arlington course is good, but only barely. very, very gimmicky.

I have not played the Fairfax course since they redid the 27 holes a few years ago, but I'll have to get out there sometime soon. The guest rate at Fairfax is cheaper, $80, vs. $95 at the Arlington course.

I think I'm kinda done with Bull Run for a bit, other than my dew sweeper rounds. Full sheet, perpetually long rounds and I have never once seen a marshal out there.

If someone (especially city) wants to post a hole by hole on Worthington with specific advice on tee shot lines/club choices and no-nos around the green, I would be most appreciative.

I've got general ideas on what to do on each hole. Would love specific info. Playing blue tees, likely pushed back as far as they can go.

bump.

i know a lot of this is hole location dependent.

need some high-level golf analysis.

How many times have you played there?? 15-20??

My Advice: If you top your tee shot on #18, you either can or can't hit a provisional. I don't remember.

All valid points. I have an email for a $49 round that expires at the end of August so I'm looking to use it before it expires.
