Still do rock em, have 5 new pair still, great shoe. Yes, 7.5 wide in FI Impact 3. I originally ordered 8 wide, but a bit long, wear regular 8 in Premiere. These may be wide enough in the normal sizes if looking for black, toe box is roomy.

Tour Premiere’s arrived today and as I feared they are a bit snug!

 

Wear a 10 in LCV2 but need a thick sock and the 10 in my LC2’s are a bit looser still so ordered a 10 (they had no stock of 10.5 and I think 11 will b too big)

 

Do they give or bed in over time?

 

Was all set to return my LC2’s and keep these instead but not sure now.....may need to see if NDC UK restock 10.5 but they have only just appeared on the site anyway

The FI Impact3 are awesome shoes, look great, very comfortable, and grip seems good for the most part. I had one slip, but we have some hard, dry areas, and then got a brief shower, not a good combo.

 

I don't think it is quite as good a traction sole as the new Ecco Biom3, but should be fine.

lol, been asked that a lot, unfortunately I have not had time to work on it due to work travels, will def. post updates/progress here when I get back to it.

 

SO.....quick update on my DIY sole swap project

I FAILED :russian_roulette: :cry: Jordan 11s are not suited for beginner sole swapper due to patent leather.

 

1.) you can only apply minimum heat otherwise you will wrinkle/deform patent leather

2.) if I am going to give it another try I'd just cut off the cleats' plastic part with a blade, then carefully "shave" off as much

material as possible, then take the Dremel tool for the rest.

3.) be patient and have a stead hand with your shoe secured in a stand when using the Dremel tool on the sole, it's extremely

messy job as you are creating a lot of debris and fine foam particles, wear safety glass and face mask.

4.) tape up your shoe before you are doing any work on it.

5.) to take the sole out of your "donor" shoe, easiest way is just takeout the insole and pour a bit of acetone in, let it sit for 30

minutes and it will separate with very minimum effort. Use this method ONLY if you don't intend to keep the upper of the

donor shoe.

 

overall a $90 failure so no big deal, not as easy as I thought it would be but learned a few tricks for next time maybe. The $75 you paid to places like GOVRN (sole swap only with you providing both shoes) is really nothing but the turnaround time (6-8 weeks) is just a bit long. Overall I spent about 2 hours on the project and ruined ONE Jordan 11s cleat (the first one I did actually came out good).

@WCH888 - man that sucks! And I’m with you, I was going to send a pair to Govrn to have him do one for me but got another pair to do myself in order to try to have a pair for the club championship. I got my donors almost 100% ready and one Jordan detached. Just

Need some clean up work. And I did the same thing with the heat gun. Ended up bubbling up a very small piece on the patten leather. Good thing it’s a very small mistake.

not a fan of the white/blue look and it seems they stole the design idea from their basketball shoes of 5 years ago. Remember the Nike hyperdunks from 2012-2013 time frame? it looks like they just added cleats to these and called them golf shoes.....the hyper dunks from that time were widely considered one of the best all around basketball shoes ever made.

 

the all black are really nice though

Yup I remember the hyperdunks. To be fair they own all those art assets to borrowing some isn’t really stealing lol. I like the aggressive looks and they’ve been refining the Lunar commands since they were called Lunar controls for a while. To each their own in style though! The 2013 Hyperdunks are some of my favorite ball shoes ever. Still have a pair that I use.
