I know pics or it didn't happen...I hit them probably one of the few to hit them so far, before seeing them I had to give up my phone, so unfortunately no pics...I will say if you like the look of the current forged tec then these look better in my opinion the black is slimming...

Can you order anything in the F8 line without the Cobra Connect system? Or can you easily ditch the system and make them look like normal golf clubs?

 

I play golf, in large part, to get away from electronics and smart phones. I definitely don't want to be reminded that I'm "connected" to my phone every time I set up for a shot.

Yes I believe there's an option to customize the grip to the non arccos ones.

That is definitely what I like to hear. Love the current shape but wish they were more in line of the the Forged Tour as far as sole width and top line width. A slimming effect will be perfect. What shaft was offered in black again?

Yes I believe there's an option to customize the grip to the non arccos ones.

 

You can order a grip that does not have it or order the grip loose and put one of your own and then sell the connected one to offset that cost.

They are working on a black shaft to compliment the head maybe be kbs $ taper but hasn’t been fully decided yet...the sole is “slightly” thinner and topline definitely looks thinner...

Second round with the F8+ - just a great all around club with tip top performance. Tied my low round and had no worries with this stick all day. Has a real “point and shoot” vibe to it. Hot face on pure strikes, too.

I haven't been in this thread in awhile but I wanted to jump in and say that the Golf Galaxy near me already has their Cobra demos out and I have confirmed with a couple of the employees that they will not stock any Cobra clubs this year and will only get the demos. They didn't have any extra shaft options apart from what was in the drivers (NV2K Blue 60 R in the F8 and NV2K Green 65 S in the F8+) but if they aren't getting any stock, I seriously hope they at least get a couple of shafts to try out.

 

They both felt great and off center felt pretty good and didn't move as much. The F8+ performed better for me than the F8 but without any heavy, stiffer shafts to try out, I'm not putting any stock into the numbers and flights I saw. If this thing performs as well as it looks and feels when properly fitted, along with the $100 dollar less price tag compared to TM or Cally, there's no doubt I'm pulling the trigger.

 

After looking at them in person, I really like the black more than I thought I would but I'm still going with the Nardo once I hit it with a shaft that suits me better.

I'm not 100% sure as I didn't get into it with the employees but I would be willing to bet it's because they simply don't sell as well as TM, Cally, Ping, or Titleist. People tend to gravitate towards what they see their favorite player using or the hundreds of commercials they see all day and considering Cobra has all of 2 well-known players on the PGA Tour, most casual golfers don't walk in with the intent to walk out with Cobra.

I'm glad they have demos but they don't have any other shafts besides the one that was in the head. They had the fairways and hybrids and everything there but no additional shaft options. You would think they would at least have the 3 stock shaft options like they do with the M1 and M2, Titleist 817s and Epics.

 

I'm glad that between the F8 and the F8+ they at least had one of them in black and the other in gray. Definitely makes picking one of them easier than just looking online.

Our gg had the whole line with the other shafts like px line as well had two tensei and the stock options, I'm going after Christmas and it it up against my f7 but i already pre ordered with stock shaft through them so I'm sure i can change that order

rbj - What part of NC if I might ask? I checked out GG in Raleigh this week, formerly Goldsmith on Glenwood, and didn't see any Cobra woods or hybrids. They still carry most of the iron sets, however. I'm interested to see how the F8 drivers feel and sound compared to LTD, which I love. I have F7+ as well and it's a cannon. Too many good choices lol.

I just hit the F8+ driver this week at GG on Glenwood. They had the fairway and hybrids as well as the F8 irons and the F8 driver. They had every shaft for the driver. Project X yellow NKV blue and green and tensei blue all in various flexes.

 

I play the F7+ and can't see this doing anything for me. I'm hitting long straight bombs with my current setup. I think it is more to do with my shaft and length though.

I was told that 50 of the best selling Galaxy stores will be stocking both metals and Irons, the other stores would only have fitting clubs or demos......

thats great retailing! speaking of.... I find it totally stooooooooooopid that a new product is released in January. How about after Thanksgiving. so maybe a new driver can go under the X MAS Tree?? or does that make too much sense? Like maybe I don't know there are billions spent on crap between thanksgiving and dec 24, but no one buys a new driver cause the release date is in January! LOL.
