Epic Standard was just rudely kicked to the curb..

F8 numbers went up by almost 6 mph and distance was 11yards. Ball was dead straight and feel was fantastic. Had the NV 65 S shaft set at 9.5 degrees. For 399 I had to buy it.

F8+ was close but didn't like the feel as much. My spin numbers were actually better with the F8. Steady 2200. Plus I love the looks of the club.

So the epic isn't looking as epic anymore. I know some people liked the epic, but I never noticed any better results with it.

The Epic was a bump up for me over the GBB. The F8 bumped up The Epic from 280 to 291. I even repeated the whole process to make sure it wasn't an I'm warmed up difference.

The epic to some was so "revolutionary" when for awhile Cobra has been doing the "low spin" and "forgiving" without as much press or fanfare. So if you gained ball speed and/or distance, that jailbreak wasn't as "epic" as they pushed.

Even the pro a golf Galaxy was surprised by my numbers that's why we did the whole process twice. What also surprised me was how straight the F8 was

Now that is not a popular opinion despite it being true! Cobra has been outstanding in the woods/iron game for quite a few years now. With the exception of a few garish colours, the company is happy to let their clubs do the talking. The made up "tech" and continuous ads that Callaway need throw out always seems a bit of a deflection tactic.

I am a Cobra staffer for over ten years. I have hit the F8+ already and absolutely love it. I currently play the LTD with Tensei Pro White X. I hit the ball very high which is why I love the combination of the LTD and Tensei together. When my rep came out to show me the clubs I told him straight up its going to be hard for me to get out of my current driver. He told me, try and well see. I have to admit I was shocked. The driver was just like my LTD. The face feels awesome and fast to me. I put my Tensei in the F8+ head and the ball flight was almost identical. If you have the LTD I totally recommend the F8+. The graphics on top aren't as bad as everyone is making them out to be. The Nardo Grey is sweet. Im not just saying this because Im a staffer, Im saying it because the driver is awesome. I also play LTD fairway wood and love it. The F8+ fairway is already replacing it. The head is slightly smaller, more like the S9-1 Pro Model. Both clubs are amazing. I recommend hitting them, you wont be disappointed!

can you compare to the King F7+? I just don't think I can improve on it

Full set of blades this time ?

Thought the old pro cell or whatever blades where nice performer. The current mb head shape i think is class leading, thought it seems like getting a full set was a rare bird.

How do the blades feel vs like a mizuno mp4/5/18 etc , offset I know if low

Full set of blades this time ? . . .

I think you'll have the option of ordering the full set in MB, CB, or combo, just as with the previous/current offering (although 4-6 MB's are out of stock from what others have said)

I made the mistake of grabbing the combo G-7 in MB and 6-3 in CB. Once I figured out I wanted the 4-6 in MB, there wasn't any left

My collegue got to see some of the new stuff today. TEC irons in black with black tour Issue AMT shaft and black King wedges with black shafts. Cobra is going to be a strong contender based on looks!

Dear lord, I just got my TECs, but I hate to say it. A custom fitting with an all black setup is in my future. Cobra, take my money now.

And, I bet cobra will release these in lefty!! Unlike Callaway with the apex black! Can't wait to see them, and I just got p790's! Checkbook ready!

I have the new cobra brochure from 2018. All the new irons are not in there, but I have seen them all already.

So you have to wait for the forged tech pictures for a while?

Before or after the PGA show?

Ahh man. Is the finish the same as on the King Forged MB/CB? That has been one of the best black finishes in the business. How was the offset and topline? Similar to the Forged Tour/Forged One Length?

Geeeze could they fit anymore gimmicky things on that driver.

Face milling

Speed channel

Turbulators

Carbon Fiber

Nothing gimmicky about any of that stuff. They each contribute to the performance of the club. Granted, some tech affects performance more than other stuff, but cumulatively the 'gimmicks' you've listed add up to why drivers overall are better now than they were 10 years ago.

I was commenting that used all of those things in one driver. Just seems a bit much....i guess they didnt use a removable sole plate, whatever those stabilizer bars are in the Epic or a sliding weight track so theres still room for improvement.

looks like there is only one colour option for the fairways, is that correct? Driver comes in grey/black and black/black, but fairway only in grey/black

I'm not a fan of the look on top, and given that it is just polymer I wonder if continental golf could refinish in a smooth black for both driver and fairways?

We haven't had one in our hands yet but judging by the look it could be a decal which can come off. Callaway does this with the epic product, its not actually raised its just a decal. The clubs look pretty interesting though for sure.

First swings on both the range and course yesterday with the F8+. Sound and feel are what I've been trying to find for the past 5-6 years and it's been an expensive ride.

I'm new to Cobra, so not sure if this is common, but what felt like a mash would be slightly shorter than expected on one hole and then the next, same feeling but as long or longer than expected. Not complaining, just a difference I noticed.

Couldn't get the Arccos to work - I may just regrip and get that out of there. While I'm sure it was user error, if it takes more than pairing it and downloading the course data before leaving the house, booting up the app on the course and playing, I'm not really interested.

The Nardo looks fantastic and so does that milled face.
