I've seen them here in Bangkok (Golf Craft, who are also Epon dealer), and one guy we play with has a set of the CB irons.

I play the Epon 301's... and the Grindworks CB is identical except for the extra grind on the back at the toe end - from what Sarint at Golfcraft will say, Grindworks is somewhat related or was to the Epon guys... so looks to me like they use the old 301 forging dies - and i mean that as a compliment!

I met with a local guy who sells them at the beginning of this year as I fell in love with the looks. Unfortunately, to me they felt terrible..to the point there was no way I would play them. Sure were nice to look at tho.

How could S20C feel terrible? Damn that sucks

What do you think the issue was? What shaft and head combination?

Their wedge line up looks pretty sweet as well but who sells them?

I bought a 58* 86f model wedge (head only, lh) from MIke's Golf Outlet earlier this year. I threw a DG TI S400 wedge shaft in it. Felt great to me. Nice quality. Looks great. From what I recall Mike's only had left hand wedge heads available in 52/56/58. Paid less than $40/shipped for the head.

Lol. Say what you think Tsupo.

Thanks for all the replies and after speaking to a club builder here in the UK who stocks Grindworks, Vega, Muira, Heskei and the new Orka forged range, I will be trying them out after Xmas.

I asked him about feel and performance etc and he said that they are comfortable on par with the very best Japanese forged. He was very surprised when I told him that I had seen a negative review.

Tsupo.... Your reply required an interpreter but after reading it three times I get the impression you like them and think they are swell.

Same I saw them at Golfcraft either way Grindworks CB or the 301 are great. Though it would be cheaper to buy the Grindworks off rakuten or directly from Japan

if you could rather than pay the excessive Thai prices!

Grindworks apparently isn't sold on Rakuten from what my search shows.

Yes & No - I haven't seen them on "Global" Rakuten yet! But can certainly buy off Rakuten Japan of which you would probably need to use a japanese mailing house to send overseas.

Sorry tsupo, I guess I mistook them being Promoted by a builder that places a lot of auctions as popular? I seem to keep coming across them, but I am looking in niche areas I guess so popular was not the best comment?

They have a Set of cbs with the PXG thing going on someone should jump on!

I think it is the other way around in that PXG is doing/following/copying what Grindworks & Giga have already been doing!

Yup your right the Blue Screw icon II came out in 2015/2016 i think. PXG comes across as not so innovative when there are already similar products out there.

Like TM and the speedslot on the sole of their irons - first introduced by Wilson Staff in the 1980's or 1990's- which WS called TM out on!

errrrgh....sorry chaps prob went in a bit strong there... Chrissy and all. was on the brown water that day .....

so il ltry that again......

gw are a very emerging boutique brand that are not popular here at all they are excellent clubs tho, I have 3 wedges, and a set of mb irons. they are a bit meatier than most Mbs out there and so I regripped them with thicker gripmaster leather nd use them when it raingin or when im playing in thicker deeper grass , feel is SEN-SAE-CHA-NAL!! hardly feel the ball on the face all u get is the flex of the shaft, . LOVE that feeling.

they are pretty small compact in size and the pw doesn't look like a JDM shovel , which is nice for a change. means I can actually play the pw in this set.

super snazzy looking as well, high chrome finish. I like them but they are not my day in/ out ers. only bec I have more options , but they easily cud do as a one set , set. no probs at all.

wedges are BIG round and sharp, interesting look, they kind of combine both the fact that the clippers can use them and the sweeprs aswll bec of the size, its virtually impossible to misss the face on them bec they are .......,spacious.

they spin a ton as well, the LW is especially lively.

yup I give em a cpl of thumbs up.for sure .

next time ill try be bit less edgey on the brarrrrrrrrrrn.

owari !

I received my 86 Series 50* and 56* yesterday from Fairway Golf and they look amazing....simple, clean and setup to the ball really well.....I won't be able to give a performance review for a few days (rain and cold here).......shout out to Fairway Golf as well. Their customer service was great and clubs built exactly as I noted when purchased online. I'll post some pics later.
