Worlds Hottest Driver

Sent my Cobra Driver head to have it shaved.

Website stated work takes 5-6 days and returned which may take another 7 days. OK

I sent mine and I tracked it, after arriving in AZ it has been 14 days and hasn't been touched.

They do not return phone messages and will not answer their phone either?

No email address is provided on website plus their phone line is not answered, only a recorded message.

They do not want to talk with customers, yet they have your money already.

What a way to run a business. Their hours 9-4PM. They close at 3PM!!! BBB will get a full report.

Still waiting. If it ever is returned, I'll let y'all know how it comes out.

Looks like Krank Golf is in the suite next door to their supposed office. I would give Krank a call and ask them to walk across the hall. They might be able to tell you if there is actually an office for the supposed company even there.

If you continue to get no communication you could at least file a claim with them and get that money back. You'd still be out the driver though.

I'm glad you're still out there playing. Sure hope I can do that when I get to be that age.

 

Sorry that so many people on here have responded sarcastically. This is supposed to be a place where golf enthusiasts can come for helpful advice.

 

I don't have any experience with this company you're dealing with. It sure seems shady. Hopefully everything works out for you. As mentioned above, you should be able to get your money back if you go through your credit card company, though you'd still be out your driver head. Sorry you've had to deal with this nonsense.

Have you tried the non-conforming golf balls? They may help give you a few yards too. Hell, at 82, I’d be happy to get out on the course and swing at all. At just more than half your age I already have arthritis and back problems. Hit em straight!

I called Worlds Hottest Drivers 7:30 AM AZ time and got Randle on the phone. First time anyone answered the phone He went and checked on my driver head and said it was scheduled to be shipped today..2/16/2018. At 3:00 PM AZ time, USPS had received the pkg. Its on its way to Texas..Finally.

After using the shaved driver I will report measured results. Fingers crossed.

What I'm really interested in is you reporting back on this thread and letting us know how the 'new' Driver works.

 

Hopefully they shaved it down just to the point of where you hit it past your playing partners. Just tell them that you've been working hard in the gym!

Not to mention the integrity of your driver is now greatly compromised. The face might cave in or become warped after a few rounds. Already out of warranty I assume too, and wouldn't be covered after the shaving anyway.

 

What model Cobra driver did you shave? You could've just upgraded to a modern driver (within the last 5 years). Cobra ZL Encore, BioCell, Fly Z etc. or Cleveland SL290, HiBore, Srixon 545, something lighter weight for like $50.

I wonder if your life, in all its aspects, would also hold up to the absolutist judgements of a total stranger who is half your age.

 

Club's don't matter. Age doesn't matter. Gender doesn't matter. Rules don't matter. Ability doesn't matter. We need people playing the game of golf, period.

 

We need to allow everyone who wants to learn, improve, or master the game of golf an opportunity to do so. Golf is a phenomenal game, and I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their passion on the course—free of condemnation—whether they are 8 or 80.

How does integrity come into play if a round of golf isn’t competitive, but just a fun hobby to get out on the course to socialize and be outdoors? A few extra yards not only helps the OP enjoy his round more, it speeds him up for everyone else. Hell, I appreciate the OP wanting to get it out there and keep up with pace of play.

What a disappointing commentary. You throw around the word "respect" like it's candy in a parade, but you haven't demonstrated a grasp of the meaning once in this thread. Personally, I hope I'm north of the dirt line when I am the OP's age, and still able to enjoy the game.
