Agreed. That lie wasn’t even that bad even being in tracks. He can’t be perfect at everything but that was just poor bunker play. Bunker had not been raked yet because it was in the line of his next shot. He was frustrated and quick played not allowing it to be raked. The courtesy is to not be in the through line. Kisner’s caddie followed courtesy protocol. Remember, it was his 2nd bad bunker shot in a row to put him there.

Fair to say this is the rare golf tournament where it is not the best putter (or top 3 in putting) that will win, but actually the best ballstriker??? Of course you have to make the putts, but advantage goes to the one who gets in the fairway followed up by crisp iron shots.

I would bet BK would run away with a 54-hole lead, but because he's playing with AScott, I think BK might suffer tomorrow.

 

Reason is, BK is a mean menace. He will fight if anyone is willing to put it up. But those kinds are very susceptible to Mr. Smarts, or text-book like human-beings... like Adam Scott!

 

BK will think....., 'How is this guy not be intimated by my guns and drives???' and put up some crappy shots.. One here, one there, and he will self-destruct.

I follow Tiger Tracker on Twitter and most of the replies to his tweets are from Tiger fans who really believe Tiger will shoot 64 or 65 tomorrow. The truth is he's not even going to try to shoot a 64 or a 65. Because that's just not who he is. He has one gear and it's play conservatively and hope everyone else folds. He's not the Arnie or Phil final round swashbuckler type. He's more of a final round accountant. It's why he's never come from behind to win a major. His final round scoring average in his 14 major wins is 69.5. His final round scoring average in his 22 major top tens is 70.4. Not a lot of difference there which means whether he's ahead by two or down by five he's going to play the same game. He's going to go out tomorrow, fire at the pins he's supposed to fire at, play away from the pins he's supposed to play away from, shoot a 67, and hope it's good enough.

We haven't seen a full blown Tiger fist pump all year. An I just took the lead, I'm most likely going to win, and I just made a 25 footer fist pump.

You have to be kidding. He played very well and had plenty of birdie opportunities but couldn't buy a putt. Some days I wonder how people gauge their own game when they say things completely devoid of facts after watching a round like Tigers.

Just got back home from the PGA championship. Tiger mania in full effect today boys. Hopefully we see something special from him tomorrow. So much fun watching him play.

 

Yeah, been there all week and the vibe is incredible. St. Louis is acquitting itself very well. Hoping Tiger goes into full court press early and Brooks sees him approaching in his rear view mirror.

 

I like Brooks a lot, but it’s hard to imagine the pressure with that guy on the hunt... could be an awesome finish.

 

Woods "full court press" had no impact on Molinari @ Carnoustie, I know its difficult for people to accept but the intimidation factor is gone.
