As I click on the @FAbb link, it shows that he currently has 1 Like and 2 Agree, but 0 Abuse. I for one would like to abuse Fabb.  How do I go about this?

Not everything is perfect at first launch.  It'll get better, I'm sure.  I definitely would recommend a minimalistic skin, lest my epilepsy crops up ahdjejficnekdbdkdhejcjdbdjcbdjcndjcj

I feel like the outage was like Infinity War, now the next exodus over the forum design will be Endgame.

 

PS the typing lag on mobile is unreal. Anyone else getting the same ?

They've actually already changed the theme/colors a tiny bit since this afternoon.  The Flag/Quote/Agree/Disagree/Like/LOL thing is now grey instead of white and borderless.

Of course, the avatars are now screwy.  Definitely some kinks to be worked out, but should end up better than the old product within a few days.

This site is powered by "Vanilla" and is the "Vanilla Keystone Theme 2019."

 

I'd definitely settle for anything vanilla at this point.

 

Needless to say, the new look is not growing on me.

Just figured it out.  WRX rolls out the worst possible iteration of the new site to get everyone up in arms.  They KNOW that everyone hates change, is resistant to change.  So of course the new site will be hated no matter what.

 

Then, by "pretending" to listen to the complaint thread, they eliminate most if the really obnoxious elements that people universally hated - stuff that they never would have implemented long-term anyway.  

 

People rejoice because they feel like they have had an impact on the website's design, and feel empowered.  Now, they feel protective of the new site and will argue it's merits, regardless of how much more inefficient it is.

 

The alternative is that someone actually approved this.

 

So it's either incredibly cunning or incredibly stupid.  There is no middle ground.

 

I'll wait until I see the final (real) version before deciding.

Third option just revealed itself.  The new host promised one thing, and delivered another.  This is also a viable explanation.

I had quite a dilemma on vacay, actually twice

At Clearwater Beach, helping my mother down some step while a college aged girl is bent over, in a thong, applying suntan lotion. 

a. help Mom down the stairs

b. let Mom take care of herself while ogling the coed

c. help Mom and do the side glance at the booty.

I chose C. No injuries to Mom and no restraining orders against me.

Same thing happened later in the week at the pool. I tripped over my mom's towel and almost face planted on the concrete. Thankfully, mom is 84 an oblivious. All good
