No fans at the Players - no fans at Tour events through the first weekend in April, starting tomorrow. Multiple NCAA conference tournies cancelled.

Masters has to be next in line to fall.

I'm going to be dominating Call of Duty's new online Battle Royale.

If the govt is shutdown and we arent paid for 30 days though - that could be a struggle. But I will play at least 36 a day while thinking about it.

Do most people just not keep enough TP or food at home to last them a week? Same thing always happens before a big snow storm. Stuff will be back in stock in a few days.

If it really hits the fan and I can't leave my home for the next month, I'm definitely going to be scraping the bottom of my freezer for stuff I forgot was in there. But I'm not going to run out of TP and starve to death. The power and water and internet won't go out.

I do need to go stock up on enough bourbon to last me 30 days though.

We keep pretty minimal stores of everything in our house. We're a walk from the grocery stores and we tend to go to the store at least twice a week to get veggies and meat. My freezer right now is one loaf of bread, maybe 3 pieces of frozen fish and some peppers I froze. I think that's it. Maybe a couple of heels of bread I haven't thrown out yet.

TP-wise. . .when I buy a new roll, I have enough to last a week. When I have 3 rolls left, I don't have enough to last for a week. That's where we were this morning.

Its weird, growing up in the sticks in NH - and City was probably like this too - my folks always had a second freezer full of food. And this was pre-home generator so if you lost power for a few days, you always had plenty of food that wasnt going to go bad. I dont have a second freezer and definitely dont have 30 days but could make it a couple weeks on normal food before breaking into the backpacking meals.

Easily could make it a month though on our bourbon/scotch/redwine supply. Probably longer.

Am I the only one who shops *a lot* on Amazon? Last week as I was reading an article on the lines in Costco to buy TP, I went on Amazon, reordered the 40 pack of Charmin Ultra and it was at my house when I got home.

I guess I dont understand the rush to Costco sometimes. This is one of those times.

I know a lot of people growing up who had freezers and generators, but in our household. . .no. We did not have a freezer or a second fridge. When I got out in the world, I never realized how common a second fridge was (and honestly, I still find it excessive). People with freezers, however, were usually people who hunted or might have livestock hook-ups.

Also, we heated mostly with wood and we never had a generator. My folks had a big ice storm in Maine 10 years ago or so and they had no power for 7-10 days in the middle of the winter. And no generator. They traveled to relatives or the neighbor's house to shower. They heated with wood and went to bed early and used blankets. We never heated the bedrooms growing up anyway. I'd have frost on the inside of my window in the morning. . .and I had a "window quilt".

Nice, I hit Hatton last week as well. I had him at 45-1 and was definitely sweating that finish.

 

I bet DJ at 25-1 this week and Brooks at 40-1. Also threw a couple of bucks on Homa at 125-1, Poston at 125-1, & Todd at 200-1. I took Rahm in OAD and am hoping he gets a live number around 20-1 with Hideki coming out hot. Rahm's odds are not budging at all though.

Wine, beer, and bourbon are all stocked. We have enough frozen pastas and veggies to make it a couple of weeks. I could stand to drop a few if things get tight

Played Little Bennett this morning before heading to my son's to let a contractor in. LB has verti-cut (?) their greens and fertilized them. They are summertime fast! I 4-putted #9 from above the hole. NEVER go above the hole on #9. My first putt lipped out and rolled another 30 feet. It was going so slowly, it looked like Tiger's chip on 16 at the Masters. LB is in great condition. That will be my "office" if we get shutdown or telework.

The new CoD Battle Royale is excellent, very well designed.

If I'm not getting paid for two weeks its OK. If its longer, I'll be focused on places where golf is free IE where I'm a member *or* playing where I am not paying for golf IE places other people are members at.

It's tight fitting, and a quilt, meaning it's stuffed and "quilted". It rolled up inside the top part.
