I walked WoMan Sunday and am too sore today. Need to get back to the minimum threshold that is “golf shape” if I want to survive the apocalypse.

Im moving to a schedule where I’ll watch the kid til noon then work till 8. Hopefully semi temporarily and we can line up some help. We have 4 grandparents nearby that would help if this was a “normal” apocalypse, but can’t use them now.

To bring the two threads together, I bought a running stroller to help avoid cabin fever. Amazon is now at 4 days for prime instead of 2. Lots of stocking up going on I guess.

Working from home for the foreseeable future. Yesterday was a solid trial run. I'm gonna have to find some new TV shows to keep from losing my mind. I'll be making calls to local courses today to check on their status. I'm not getting my hopes up that they're open.

i was working at home yesterday. After 4 hours on the couch, I was like, "I need to do something" so I was going to hack sack in the alley for 30 minutes. Couldn't find my hack sacks. Did yoga instead. Ordered new hacky sacks from amazon. gonna be like 5 day delivery. I guess we're living in Russia now.

 

Played yesterday. . .

Had 110 into a back pin on 1. Helping wind, hit a 50 that came up short and spun back off the front of the green. 3-frutt.

Hole 2, hit a perfect drive. . .sorta fatted an 8 to a back pin. 3 putt.

Missed 4 footer on 4. 3 putted 7 AND 8. Rinse, repeat.

Hole 16, I was basically in a hole in the rough and dumped my second into the pond. After that, I pulled out a top flite and finished par par with great looks at bird on both.

Should have just socially isloated.

17, I hit a draw that landed next to the pin with a 4 iron and it rolled out 12 feet.

On 18, I had 155 down wind to a back pin from the rough, total flyer lie. . .hit that top flite to the back tier on the 18th green and it rolled out a foot. You couldn't design a "test shot" that puts less spin on a golf ball and the ball just sat there.

The greens were soft, but they were basically exactly as soft as all other greens I play all year everywhere. (except maybe CC last year at WoMan). So, someone remind me again why we spend $40 a dozen on balls because of their spin characteristics.

I get to work from home every Wednesday for the foreseeable future. Which translated means I am golfing every Wednesday. Thank you virus. Working at the old B-S hospital. Nice neighborhood if you like drugs, robbers and thief's. Sandtown is a great place to get killed lol.

My office is shut down and everyone is working from home, but I have special "permission" to be here. Basically I was told "since nobody is there, you should be fine going in." I never even asked if I could, but whatevs. HowevA, being by myself in the office is glorious. I'll have to ration the sodas and snacks so I don't run out.

UMD course closing down after 7:00 pm today.

I ordered something on Amazon yesterday that wasn't due til Friday. I cancelled it and went and ordered the same thing from a store this morning and picked it up in person. Like a savage.

I'm just starting my work day now. Woke up, took care of the kid, went for a run, showered, made lunch, and am just sitting in early status meetings. Will work til 9 with a break for dinner. This is maxing me out at 40 hours of work a week, and it's kind of nice so far. Of course I'm only 30 minutes in to my work day, so I may feel different when the sun starts setting.

Hopefully it's only because it's on / near a college campus. Talked to my friend at PB Dye yesterday. He said they cancelled outings but as of yesterday no plans to use the course.

MoCo courses are still open, although the grills are closed. Junior said they'd only close Falls Road if the President ordered it. Apparently some county big wig came by the course and said that.

Every since I started my new job last year I’ve been full time work from home and I love it. The first 2 weeks took one transition time so folks are probably getting stir crazy by now or will. I wouldn’t change my schedule now and it gives flexibility. Just reminder to take breaks since you’re not in the office.
