Love it. Our family vacations in Kennebunkport and I force the family to turn the first or second day into a Portland Beer run. Usually hit up Maine Beer Co., Bissel Bros, Allagash, and some others. Then Treehouse on the way home.

Last year we even lucked into going to a restuarant that just happened to have Pliny and Blind Pig on tap. I had Pliny once before, but it was my first chance to try Blind Pig. Allison's always has a good taplist, but that was special.

At this point, no idea when I'll get out to play next. I'd be interested to know how much traffic the public courses in Frederick County are getting.

Due to work, I'm generally limited to evenings/weekends, which are usually objectively the worst times to go golfing if you don't want to play in gridlock.

It's a good benefit (for me) as the only one in the office. I can let 'em rip without a cause for concern.

I just put in play an M6 D-type driver. I'm a fan so far after 1 round. The new arm lock Bettinardi I got has been good so far. It produces a much better roll on my putts and I can finally hit a putt straight again. I've been hitting pushes and hooks for a long time now. I finally made some putts outside of 2 feet this past weekend at WoMan and Woodmore and my misses were not off by much. It was very encouraging.

Jack Rose in DC is selling off their entire whiskey collection - over 2700 bottles. Generally regarded as one of the best collections in the world, they are selling everything at 20-50% off. Have not seen the price list so unclear what "50%" off means. Most likely its 50% off their 500% markup but....worth a look.https://www.washingtonian.com/2020/03/19/jack-rose-is-selling-off-one-of-the-worlds-largest-whiskey-collections/

Welp, there's the next phase. Golf carts and push carts prohibited, no guest play or reciprocal play until further notice. Seriously wondering if the 9 this afternoon might be the last golf I play in a while.

We shut down the driving range. We're walking only right now and we've moved the cups up so that they're only an inch deep.

I don't know why we don't just take the flags out entirely.

I don't see us staying open forever, but it would be nice.

My parents are currently in Florida and scheduled to drive back to Maine next week. My dad was like, "I'm sure the hotels are taking all the precautions and sterilizing everything."

Yeah, pops. . .that motel 6 in Bumhumpistan, Trashstate is probably bringing in the hazmat crew for your 49 dollar room.

I told them to get out immediately because it's not going to be better in a week.

Speaking of farts : yesterday I did youTube yoga with the wife at noon. Basically yoga serves as a fart pump. Up down fold stretch, butt-up, butt-down. . .it's like it's designed to squeeze gas out of you. But in class, you really focus on keeping them in. It was kind of liberating. Some yoga studio was live streaming classes and had 3 feeds up and 2 were total beginner and laggy and the other one went blank. So we just did a tough youTube sesh.

I don't have any good fart stories, but the carnivore/keto life over the last few weeks is a great way to save TP. It's like pushing the 0.25x button on YouTube, but for your dumps.

My parents are coming back from Florida now as well, leaving today. Given the average age of the snowbird Floridian, they all appear to be leaving in an exodus. Their plan to make it back here is to sleep in the car a few hours. Great when you are in your 20's, but when you are over 70 and your plan is to sleep in the front seat- I can't see that working very well. But there is no way you'd want to stay on a hotel on I-95 right now.

Confirmed, I would watch.

Does that Jack Rose PDF include bottle prices or just the pours? I'm looking for someone that could email me the bottle list if its available - dropbox is blocked at work.

My parents live in the sticks in NH and are taking this in stride. They are actually going up to a fishing lodge in even more-sticks Maine that is a 5 hour drive away more into the sticks. Excellent. I worked for a while up in Caribou, Maine, it was very cold up there.

We had club push carts prohibited and single riders only for a while, I imagine they will ban them outright eventually.

And by a while I think its been a week - but it damn well feels like a while.

I got out late yesterday afternoon for 9 after teleworking. I was the Rando Bob and was paired with another Rando Bob. He was on the tee box at the white tees and I walk up and we do the awkward virtual handshake. I was going to play the blue tees so he decides to back up one tee box to blue. Rando Bob, the other guy, not me, was a nice dude, probably mid 50s and could only hit driver off the tee maybe 200 yds. Army / Navy isn't long, but 200 off the tee still is going to leave you 180 - 200 in on most par 4s so Rando Bob wasn't getting on too many GIR. He played two off most tee boxes and dropped some extra balls in the fairway and the green, no big deal because it's just the two of us and it's just good to be outside and playing golf. Rando Bob also had one of the quickest preshot routines and zero practice swings. We played a quick nine gave the equally awkward goodbye virtual handshake and went to our respective cars. I head into the clubhouse to wash my hands for the hundredth time that day and I see Rando Bob heading out and he says that the computers are down and we can't post our scores and that he "does not want to post his 48 anyway." Rando Bob probably shot a 60 plus or minus a couple. I never understand the mentality of wanting to be a vanity handicap especially when the club has a lot of net events and you're just going to get destroyed in the net games. It was great to be out there and just wanted to ramble on about my Rando Bob experience of the day.

P.S. - He was not down to bet on squirrels.
