Another ad similar to the TRUGREEN ad that doesn’t allow clicking on the menu bar. iPhone 14 max pro, Safari, 16.3.1. This Mizuno ad.

this new ad has basically replaced trugreen in freezing the site

It's back with a vengeance this morning. It's freezing my ability to select a thread from "My Acivity Streams" or frankly anything new from the pulldown menu at the top of the page, underneath the ad. To get here and write this I had to go through the forums, website help, etc.

Same. Even when I can get into the menu items (e.g. Content I posted in), no threads even show up.

i thought this might be a different issue so i started a thread about it. it was happening with a pga tour apparel ad at the top of the page also.

Yeah. Seems to be happening no matter what ad is displaying.

@Gxgolfer i appreciate you being in this thread and taking all of these complaints on the chin. but the reality is that the site has been backsliding pretty rapidly towards uselessness on the user end.

I was unable to click any links when I logged in and my feed showed no unread content. 

Naturally the TruGreen ad was blaring at the top of the page. I refreshed 7 or 8 times - it comes up every time. I give up, I'll close it out for now.

The site has become borderline unusable. I was surfing the web in the early days of dial-up using Netscape Navigator and Mosaic. I was used to pages taking forever to load.

 

Here we are 30 years later, and I'm still waiting for GolfWRX to fully load. Don't even think about clicking on a link, because with the ads loading in the background, it's a game of wack-a-mole. Ha, silly you. You didn't click on your intended link, because the Mizuno ad took 10 seconds to finish loading, and the page just shifted several inches lower.

 

Seriously, this is ridiculous. I don't mind ads. They pay the bills. However, the purposeful delaying of loads to trick users into clicking on the wrong links is disturbing to say the least. The user experience on the website is nearing an all time low.

Yes.

 

Click on the link and you get the Forums main menu.

 

Click My Activity Streams in the Black Header and it populates the "Default Streams"

 

Selecting any of the seven options (for example "Content I Posted In") doesn't populate any selections and produces the screenshot.

What device, OS, and browser. This was believed to be fixed a bit ago and have not been able to replicate issues.

Now JR Smith. Who are these ads by (I turn them off as soon as they start to play, and they all do today) so I can be sure to never, ever consider buying a product from them. Its that bad today I think I will start spending more time at other sites.
