I’m getting this constantly!!!! Every time I change pages on WRX it pops up. I can’t do anything on my iPhone on wrx. It’s impossible to browse.

Use Chrome and the uBlock extension. I haven't gotten a single ad since I did this earlier this year.

Agreed. And honestly I switch between Chrome and Opera, its been a couple years since I've seen an ad.

You're not alone.  Came here to report what's occurring.  Couldn't log in, click to another page.  Shrinks to below, then minimize and x out to get rid of it.  Only to return when navigating to another page.  Cleared cache.  Ran malwarebytes.  It's not on my end.  Beyond annoying.

WTF is anyone else experiencing a Banana Republic ad that takes up 1/4 of the screen and stops you from enjoying the forum??

 

I used to have neutral feelings towards Banana Republic but now Im not a fan!  Interesting how advertising can flip on you if you don't handle it well...

 

Just don't be annoying and block the site from working.... just get your message out without being like a loud obnoxious person on the airplane lol

It seems to only happen when browsing WRX. If you don't click the upper left X it load another page and I usually kill my browser at that point.

I'm getting this ad (at the bottom of the page) constantly and can't get rid of it. I have reported it but weirdly there is nowhere to upload screenshots on the reporting form. Surely this would be easier than describing the ad in question? 

 

I'm using Chrome on Android.

USPS ad with Trucking chasing waypoints around the screen doesn't allow to click on any content of that page. Must refresh after ad.

The add placement on mobile at the top of the page is so frustrating. It takes a second to load so half the time when I try to click Tour and Pre-Release Equipment, it loads just in time, forcing that part of the site down and having me inadvertently clicking the add. Such BS. I’d rather pay and have an add free experience.

This is driving me bonkers. I never used to see ads like these, now every ad that gets served takes up half of the page and they take half a second to load which forces all the content down. Even worse I keep getting ads for Tucker Carlson who I want to punch in the face, and there's no way to tell the ad service that I don't want to see that ad anymore because it's not from Google, it's from Yahoo and when you click their little button it just pulls up the terms of service with no option to get rid of the ad.

The header is still being worked on to deliver screen size appropriate ads for mobile. The first ad after the first post/topic is a compromise for in ad post placements.

I finally gave up on the ads and downloaded adblock browser for my Android phone. I always felt a little bit sketched out by the various ad blocking options for mobile, but this browser looks and feels exactly like Chrome, only there are zero and I mean zero ads. This is the only way that I can browse anymore. Highly recommended. Sorry if that means a few less pennies of revenue for the site but the ads have gotten worse and worse and worse and worse to where I was getting disgusted with my experience. WRX needs to walk a fine line between keeping the site going and turning away members because the ads are so terrible.

This is the way to go if you need to. And honestly I have used Opera for so long - mobile (samsung) and macbook - that I forget there are still ads around.
