Rory's swing with the driver is the best I've ever seen in 60 years of playing golf...speed and balance to perfection..

in his prime Jack's was pretty good too..

flashiests was Arnie's..

That drive on 18 showed some absolute guts..Look out Augusta!

Interesting this said he had no 3-wood and only 3 wedges this week. When he's on, the his driver is amazing - but maybe the bag setup also gave him no choice this week (bag setup obviously worked).

Where are the Spieth fans / Rory haters?

Of course, the Spieth fans will eventually have their day in the sun when he gets it together (and they'll be sure to let people know about it, as are the Rory guys today).

But I love how both sides hide in their hole when the news in the last 24 hours isn't going their way...

I like them both...maybe a slight edge to Jordan, but I still root for Rory often. Best case scenario for my first Masters visit (got lucky this year!), is a Jordan and Rory playoff!

I like them both, natural talent is a hell of a thing to watch when it is realized.

Bash Dustin Johnson. Until he laps the field...

I started to like Dustin when he survived the USGA's colossal stupidity at Oakmont.

One thing that stood out to me as I watched Rory walk off the 18th green we're all the fans who were holding their hands out to shake. Rory snubbed about 98% of them.

Saw him actually touch a few hands during the round. Had his ball in his left hand after 18, needed to sign his card, touched a palm or two later in the walk. No big deal - Furyk didn’t slap ‘em all either - kill him!

McIlroy is the guy you’ll see once in awhile during a tournament reach out to a kid or two more often than just about anyone else.

agreed. Can’t please everyone. He can stay around and sign autographs for a half hour after his round and there will still be people left disappointed.

IMO he's the best driver in the history of the game. The only guys who give him a run are Norman and Nicklaus.

Out of curiosity what is the criteria?

I'd agree. He'll likely get to 20 PGA wins (lifetime exemption), which would imply passing Westwood. Beyond that, I'm not sure. Not saying he can't do it, but he needs to be focused and play well for another decade (age was, this is still doable).

Last week: Rory can't finish and win

This week: Rory will be have the second-most wins ever among current PGA and European Tour players

This is the truth. How fickle sports fans are. Based on recent events, he was definitely due.
