This is great, I've just read all the posts!

I am a club pro in Ohio and these are going in my bag as soon as I can get my hands on them!

Any word on who will be playing these next season on tour?

Any plans to reach out to some mini tour players or Nation Wide Tour players to help promote the products a little more.

I think MacGregor along with Greg Norman Collection could be an attractive sponsorship deal for some up and comming players.

I'll definatly be using these babies in some section events and a couple mini tour events myself next season!

It would be nice to see the Bobby Grace prototype putter that Jose Maria Olazabal has been using hit the shelves with the MT Pro series irons and wedges.

The more I look at them (see also: stare, drool, long) the more the milled cavity looks like the PCB Tour with a muscle back and reduced offset. I mean, I can't wait to hit these. Oh yeah, and a satin finish would be sweet.

Any chance we can see pics from every angle of the MB's? I have a Macgregor Staff bag sitting in the closet waiting for a set of irons to inhabit it :good:

God Bless

I have played the pcb tours, and the v foil blades. These look even better!

I think both the CB and the MB look very sweet, BUT for me they would have to send the heads only to Joe Kwok to set-up for me. It's the only way I'd play anything from any OEM and despite my signature it does not have to be TM.

Joe's work on a well made head is a little bit of golf heaven.

After looking at the pictures over and over I think MacGregor has a serious line up for players clubs. I cant see anything I would change by looking at them. Personally I hope the soles of these irons <both cavity and muscle> are of the modern designs. rolled edges would add needed forgiveness and a little bounce would be nice also.

Look at grinds of players clubs on tour. A lot of them have relief added to the soles to reduce the sharpness...

Badds...

I would love to see grinds that show relief more than one that doesnt like the current sharp knifes of the x-forged...

Hopefully the MacGregor website is updated soon. The last update seemed to happen well into the year and perhaps a little too late.

What better way to start a new sales pitch than to get the site up early and generate enthusiasm.

Some views that we can manipulate would be good; and one that allows us to view the club from the top would be beneficial. The last few years all we could view were multiple sole shots.

Good point. MacGregor's custom club fitting is supposed to be pretty good. Might want to emphasize that and list at least a good majority of the shafts that are available as custom.

I really would like these a bit more shallow than the more modern day design of blades... I can't think of a specific design where the blade height wasn't much, but i remember having success with the club designed that way... I don't miss top to bottom, i miss left to right.... and even then, not by much, so I would like to know those specs if at all possible..

Also, great work on the design and release of these clubs... I am sure they will see success... Though they aren't my current club of choice (Cobra Pro MB holds that spot for 08 releases) these are an extremely close second.

Would you have information as to what plant MacGregor is having their forgings done? In Japan, China, or elsewhere?

First MT Tourneys were issued in 1950, the last was in 2001. Attached some pics. Apologies for the fuzz.
