Not too stout? My SS is 110-112 so I was think about trying out the 6.5 non TX. I think the TX might be too much.

It is stout. Not quite as stout as I was expecting. I think I'm borderline on the TX. It'll work, but it's demanding.

I'll say, I struggled right away with my tee game. I was hitting it way off the heel and really low. Don't think it was the shaft. By the end, I'd say I was hitting it straighter than I had been and higher too. Hit two of the longest drives of the season. Not saying it was the shaft. But, I like the balance of it. Feels like I can step on it with confidence.

I've been trying to think of the right way to describe the feel of this shaft. I don't have hard data to give you guys. But, I'd almost say that I'd equate the feel to how I perceive my irons more than any other driver shaft I can think of.

 

I haven't hit the full gamot of shafts that some of you guys have. The Pro Orange feels like a driver shaft to me. The Rogue White felt like a driver shaft to me. The AD IZ felt like an extremely loose driver shaft to me. This HZRDUS Smoke Green almost feels like I'm swinging my 4 iron or something. It is just so crisp feeling.

 

It's still very early in the game. But, so far, I'm really liking the feel of this thing. It doesn't hurt that it's the most bad *ss looking shaft I've ever played.

On my hurt ankle swing I can feel the 6.5 loading rather nicely. I could see some of you really high speed guys saying it's floppy. If I manage to get my mobility and strength back in it this year, I might need something that holds up a little bit more, too.

I’ve been playing a HZRDUS yellow 75 6.5 in my Rogue SZ. I’m thinking a new Flash SZ with the “Hulk” 70 in 6.5 would be perfect. Thoughts?

I don't think the OG Yellow and Smoke Green feel much alike. The yellow is counter balanced, so the green in the same weight will feel heavier. The Green feels much firmer overall. Specifically in the middle of the shaft. Don't know how much stiffer the TX is compared to the regular 6.5. It may be a closer match, but I'm still guessing that it's a good deal firmer.

 

Don't know on the custom order availability. They still don't have the Smoke Yellow least I checked. It may be a while yet. There are some solid distributors that can source the shaft for you though. JD's Clubs, Will Peoples, etc.

How's it play so far? I've never gamed a 60g shaft so I tipped 1" out of the gate since I played the T1100 70g tipped .5".

Pretty sure as long as nothing catastrophic happens over my next couple of outings, I will be selling off the other contenders. The AD IZ was an experiment that I had a feeling wasn't going to pan out. The Pro Orange is good, but the Hulk is just so crisp while feeling smooth at the same time. In the shafts I have tried over the years, the only thing I can say is similar would be the Kuro Kage XT 60TX. But, that was just over 2 years ago since I hit it. Once some of the more astute shaft hoes get this in their hands, they would be able to make better comparisons.

Elated to hear the comparison to the Kuro Kage XT. That shaft is a legend......speaking of, I noticed that Adam Scott and Jason Day went back to it. If it feels like that, I'll be very pleased!

Played 9 holes last night with this combo. I am fully committing to this setup. It has been the best combo for distance and dispersion I have had in a while. The ball never really seems to make any drastic changes in direction. If it fades, it is slightly. Same with the draws. I am not hitting any drastic hooks or slices with it. Almost like it’s hard for me to overdo it. Still have to put a good swing on it. But, so far, it’s been point and shoot for me.

 

This season has been a pretty terrible start for me. I don’t know if my swing clicked when I put this in play, or if the shaft just happens to be a great fit for me. Either way, my driving has improved drastically in the few rounds I have had with this shaft in play. I am so confident with it that I sold my other shafts and don’t have any other options to switch out to should I have the urge.

Gio, You going 60g or 70g? I believe you're in the same ball park as me speed wise (120-122 controlling it and 130 going for it)?

If I want to hit a high flying bomb, I can. If I want to flight it down a bit, that's doable too. I would say the apex is on par with the Pro Orange and Rogue White 130 for that matter. I thought the Rogue White launched higher than the PO for me and I would say the Green is similar in that regard. Launches high, stays pretty flat, and carries forever.

Thinking 6.0 untipped for me (105-108 SS). What's the feel like? And what would you compare it to? My frame of reference is Fuji Evo II 60X, Rogue Silver 110 60X, HZRDUS Black 6.5 75. But thinking a little softer may give me some extra distance as my recent attempts at driver shafts in the X-Stiff range haven't been great on my carry number.

Lol. Yeah, I was surprised as well. But, I have a higher AoA. I have always hit my driver pretty high. It's the flight I like to see. Even into the wind. If you can get a really low spin combo, I tend to end up in a better position just hitting it high and letting it fly vs. trying to play a really low flight. Could be because my stock shot is high and I am trying to change my swing to hit it low.
