Just played there today; green were fast and great....... sadly, it looks like they will be punching Monday and Tuesday per the sign they had on the doors as you enter the clubhouse.

Does anyone know if Texas Rangers Golf Club offers either a walking rate or a 9 hole rate? Nothing listed on the site and I received no response to my email.

Split Rail has lost their greens, It seems. Verti-cut and top dressed but if the warm doesn’t help I feel they will do what rockwood did

Haven’t played it but drive by it regularly. Never seen the place not packed, can’t believe rounds would be under 5 hours.

Interesting. I typically play at first light when the pace is fast. Slow rounds kill me.

Played Fireswheel Lakes course last week and the greens were good, fairways filling in nicely.  Played Ridgeview Ranch today and the greens are not good, not sure what is happening with that property....

Waterchase still the belle of the ball as far as public greens/course conditions. Keep in mind I don’t get into dallas county much to play golf. But at least in Tarrant County it’s first and not even close. 
 

also, love online booking through the course but not prepaying. I get it during covid but now having to prepay just to get a time at certain places (Looking at you Fossil Creek, Iron Horse) just seems to be gouging a bit. 
 

we are all adults. And adults flake all the time. Pls get rid of the prepay. 
 

I work in a nice steakhouse, we don’t make you prepay to have a meal…..it’s silly

I’m convinced that we can assume all public courses in DFW are in bad shape unless someone says otherwise. 
 

The metroplex must have the worst group of greens keepers in the country. Why grass can’t be grown and maintained consistently is beyond me.

Edit. Not worth the response. This winter killed all warm season grass greens, covered or not in town. Courses with cool season greens are perfect and running 12+ on the stimp right now.

Yep. Shout out to our local greens keepers and all the hard work they do. There would be no golf without them.  
 

Our course has been aggressively fixing the greens issues. Ripping them all up and starting over with new ones. Pallets of sod in the parking lot as far as the eye can see. I’m told it’s $2 per sq ft just for the sod. I offered to let them bring the extras to my house but I got blank stares. 😂

 

I’m not sure how long it will take to get us back to 100% but I’m looking forward to it. Until then I’ll enjoy the discounted rates and continue to hone my fairway putting lol.

Speaking of The Bridges, here are the results from Wednesday's Byron Nelson Pre-Qualifier played there this last Wednesday.

Me too like it’s probably my favorite in the metroplex and Sky Creek was good a couple weeks ago but you have to get out there during the week or otherwise it’s 100+ dollars and that’s just ridiculous

Unfortunately it seems like all the decent courses are approaching a $100 green fee or more these days for weekend morning play.

This is the reason I play twilight rounds during the week. Just can’t afford to pay the higher green fees on the weekend. Frees up the weekends for family and other pursuits. Plus I usually have the course mostly to myself in the late afternoon/evening.

Sky is trying to make it members only before 12:00 on weekends.

Played Bear Creek west today, greens were decent only 1 or 2 with poa problems, lot better than I expected.

I work at one and a member at one with warm season greens, also just played Las Colinas CC and they were perfect.
