There is only 1 logical winner this week.

25 years on the LPGA Tour

Career earnings of just over $250,000. Yes, career, not season.

Has needed to go through Q school more times than any other player in the history of the LPGA to retain a card

Has exactly 1 top 10 in 25 years of playing on the LPGA

Hasn't made a cut since 2016

Is the golfing pride of Northern Illinois University which is home to yours truly

Ladies and gentlemen your 2019 KMPG Women's Championship Winner is...Nicole Jeray. If that isn't the ultimate relative unknown coming out of nowhere, I don't know who is! She's also now a teaching pro in the Chicago area and a true sweetheart. I'm pulling for you Nicole!

Or anyone. 1991 US Open someone died after being hit. I think someone also got hit by a drive relatively close to the tee box then (fans lined up too close on the sides).

On the plus side with PGA involvement, the Major shouldn't get cut down to 54 holes and not have a cancelled start to the round after players are 9 holes in .... if needed we should get the Monday finish.

The GP lot can be accessed from Pioneer Trail across the street from Chaska High School. In the event of inclement weather, you'll be directed to free parking at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, and shuttles will be provided. I have to assume that lot GP is a grass field.

Which gives me more reason to go and finally walk the grounds of Hazeltine - aside from amateur stuff this should be fairly unattended comparable to RC or mens majors.

I'm more of a individual player match-up bettor myself, but I will sometimes take an in-game for the win before the start of round 3 or 4 if I see angle or path to victory for a player. I hit Lucky6 at the US Open betting her before the start of the 4th round.

Brooke Henderson is only 10 months older than Nelly Korda; but she's light year ahead in maturity.

Brooke's delivering what she fully expected to do since 6-7 years ago when she's 14-15; Nelly is still in awe with her recent successes.

Both are already at the top of the totem pole; but I expect the competition to intensify once Nelly finds her footing.

Nelly is ranked ahead of Brooke in Total Driving, Ballstriking, and Putts per GIR. However, Brooke has a slight lead in scoring average. Me thinks Nelly has too many blow up holes.

There's nothing I hate more than somebody who doesn't cover the LPGA, write about the LPGA. They always get things wrong, thanks Steve Eubanks lol

2 errors in his article, Brooke was a pro and not an amateur when she played in the 2015 KPMG and #2 Brooke wasn't the first player to have multiple wins in the 2019 season, Jin Young Ko had it done by the ANA.

Su Oh +2 after two holes. 'Not quite the start she was imagining. There are only a handful of players out, but it already looks like the course is playing tough. Five holes into the day, and the best score is only 1 under.

Indeed, the course is playing tough; six players are under par and twenty-two are over par right now.

Nice bounce back by Su. After an opening double on #1, she birdied #3 and #5 to get back to even. Crisis averted.

Haru is +4 after 4 holes.

Being a PGA event, you get a number of club professionals grabbing spots (10).

Huh ,thought I had read a couple days ago that the current narrative is "I'm going to listen to advice this time".

https://www.golfchannel.com/news/ready-or-not-here-she-comes-michelle-wie-back-injury-again-womens-pga

But then again, a lot of contradictions herein. She also says she was inspired to push through injury and tee it up this week after watching the Golden State Warriors play the NBA Finals. Facepalm.gif
