But golf needs some young Big Johns coming along. All guys and gals on the tours are too polished these days. Not *ssholes like old times Monty, but big Johns.

Others were Lee Trevino, Woody Austin, Laura Davies, Parnevik, Boo and Couples. Kind of joyful personalities on the screen.

Ok all are not totally standard media robots now either. Some irregular ones like e-man and Na, some fiery ones like Stenson, Henderson, Sagström, Captain America and Garcia, some stonefaces like Kisner, Duf and Brooks. But too many Webbs. In the early days guys that came out on the tours would swear, bang clubs and so on a little. Now, I dont exactly want to encourage that but the Hovlands and Wolffs that come out now are like media perfect from the start. Not Annikas that avoided winning being too shy to make victory speeches. Guess internet produced this.

Match Play - Kisner - he always fights back and so gritty. Love his game. You are not taking money from this guy.

Majors - Rory (waiting for him to break through again), Koepka (hopes he can dominate)

General - Long hitters like DJ, Wolff, Champ, Finau (sigh he's so frustrating just can't put it all together). Watching these guys hit the snot out of the ball is just pure fun.

Quirky guys - Na (not slow anymore, and pretty fun), Stenson (he can hit 3 wood and irons all day. It's almost obscene), Morikawa and Hovland (love these young guns with something to prove. Next!

All time fav - Tiger (for sure, I think goes without saying he's the most exciting ever).

Wait was this supposed to be just one? Youtube highlights are your best friend then.

Don't likes - Rahm (I love his game, he's just too whiny and pissy like Garcia). Dechambeau (he plays too quick :p ). Spieth (occasional 40 minute rule consultations annoyed me forever lol).

Aabcuue,

Thanks for commenting. Sounds like you have some interaction with a number of players. Are you able to disclose the context?

Good call by some others on Na and Finau as well. Both are fun to watch.

I enjoy watching Fitzpatrick as well for some reason. Looks like he could be in high school though well seasoned. Plays with accuracy and short game as his weapons. My wife and I were on the ropes just behind him as he hit a tee shot in a practice round at Augusta. He scared the chit out of my wife with the crack off the face of his driver. She didn’t realize someone that diminutive and youthful in appearance could produce that speed:).

Brandon Grace is another I enjoy watching when he gets in contention and wish that was more often. Falls into the seems like a good guy to have a drink and shoot the chit with category.

Hideki and Henrik simply because I love their swings. Marc Leishman because he looks like a regular person.

On the LPGA Tour, Jeongeun Lee6 and Jin Young Ko have such beautiful swings and all around game that they're a joy to watch. And Danielle Kang has the best on course demeanor in the game.

Make poor shot choices than what I feel is right the situation. Stop a putt in motion on purpose in a major tournament. etc, etc, etc. This is how I feel, others may feel differently.

Fair enough, can't disagree about some poor shot choices. But I see those seemingly poor shot choices that can often result in some exciting escape maneuvers. As for stopping the putt in motion, I think it was a great statement... if the USGA is going to set up a clown course then he decided to act like a clown. It certainly helped underscored the need to change the US Open set up... Phil took one for the team. Then after the RC, when Hunter Mahan got so emotional and almost lost it, Phil was quick to grab the mic and provide support for his teammate and save him the embarrassment.

PS... plus the fact that @Ferguson hates Phil so much, it makes me like Phil even more :)
