Wedge: Mizuno or that Callaway 56*
Putter: Either the 2 Ball or the Versa. Putt around on the carpet and find what works best.
Seriously man, get out of your head. Those clubs are supremely serviceable. I cannot even fathom why you ventured away in the first place? Until you’re breaking 90 consistently with those (maybe even 85’ish), those aren’t holding you back. And before you ask, yes I have hit and in some cases fit players into all of them minus the TS2. Like I told you before, I could shoot my 13 handicap with those every round. Hell, I played to a 9 during the Hawkeye’s generation (before wife, kids and career). Also, I say all of this regardless of what shafts are in them. Specs make a difference, no doubt, but not the monumental amount of strokes you might imagine.

Couple of question, I really appreciate you doing this.

The R1 has a 55 gram shaft feels kind of flimsy, do you think this will matter with a swing speed around ~95? The masterfit seems to hit pretty well, really the only club out of the bunch that seems to perform okay. Maybe I am crazy and should try the R1 again.

The shafts are regular soft on the 4 hybrid and the grip on the ping 5 is really large, but the shaft seems thicker, can handle more torque

Say it with me, “shafts are not my problem”. Stop it! At your handicap, it is a swing issue. At one time or another, all of those clubs were played by pros on tour. All. Of. Them. Now I’m not talking 8 pars in row on a 6100 yard muni pros, either. PGA Tour professionals. Are the shafts “fit” for you? No. Could the be “right”? Maybe yes, maybe no. Based off of swing speed alone, at 95 mph, you could be a regular or stiff. It would all depend on how you deliver the club head. The problem lies in that at 100+ shooter, you don’t have a consistent way of delivering said club head. There in lies the rub.

Besides the driver I'll play that configuration. I'm playing with 3 skilled guys, all singles so I really need to be on my game. I'm nervous to be honest. I'll post my round afterwards to validate the config. It's only 9 holes, getting off at 1:58.

Paddy, I bought a driver 18 months ago that I was fit for by my club pro, someone I see three times a week in summer and get on well with.

After 6 months the driver cracked in the heel. I was fuming and took it back immediately wanting a replacement or a refund and he said he’d sort it. For whatever reason, I suspect laziness as he never seemed to chase them or have a response, it took three months for him to sort it out. I was on him every couple of days chasing and made it very clear that it was unacceptable. Eventually he gave me a new driver head after I threatened to go to trading standards and it’s all sorted. Everything is fine between us now, but I would not buy any clubs from him again as I know he wasn’t pushing the issue with the manufacturer.

Yes, confrontation isn’t fun and I don’t like it either; my club pro is someone I get on well with and he gives me lessons. I know when my preferred fitter (a different club pro) has fit me for each set of irons he’s always said if there’s an issue to come back and he’ll sort them. With my previous set they were sent back within two weeks as the weights were out.

The fact is if you’ve spent money on something I don’t know a single person that wouldn’t at least try to get their money back and I don’t know anybody that would defend the store when they’ve had such an awful experience. You’ve been duped into buying some clubs that clearly are abysmal yet there is always some excuse not to contact them. Either you just can’t be bothered, you have so much money that the cost of the clubs isn’t important to you or this isn’t real. Everyone on here has advised you to go see them and demand your money back as you’ve said the store even advertises they will fix any issues - take the advert with the managers comments with you.

It’s quickly becoming apparent from this thread that if you keep making excuses to not sort it out people just won’t believe you in future on here. You’ve been quite rude on some responses to people slagging off their clubs. I know many a single figure player that plays GI irons. We are trying to help, just go speak to them and get your money back.

I'm playing 9 at 1:58 after that I may just head straight up there..... At least give it a go. I'm only going to try to replace the irons. TBH those are the only piece of junk that I had IMO. Obviously it's relative.....

That’s right - nobody said anything about your other clubs. Perfectly fine to use. Where you got hosed was all the MF stuff...but I doubt you have any recourse with the driver or your Mizuno wedge with that shaft in it. The irons you can/should do something about, as we’ve discussed previously.
