Nope. All down to aerodynamics.

TM test their own product. On their own machine. In their own lab. With a tester who has corporate hospitality and a sack full of goodies. Thats your "test".

Give TM your 500 bucks. Let me know how you get on.

PS. Ive seen 30 yd further claims for nearly 50 years.

I have an "obsolete" and "outdated" 915D3 8.5 that goes further than my M5 or anything I've hit since the release of the 915D3. 320 yards is plenty far enough for me. I don't need to hit it 322 yards. :D

Yeah but the SIM and SIM MAX would be good for 322 MAX. And that would be if I was properly fit. lol

It's PHYSICSLY impossible for me to hit a drive 350. 322 is my MAX ;)

I had a similar experience.

I hit about 10 balls with each SIM last night. I typically have played the adjustable M3 and M5 drivers, so I expected that the regular SIM would be my obvious choice. However, the SIM had me hitting low knuckleballs in the 1300-1500 spin range with some nasty hooks mixed in.

Switched over to the SIM Max and improved spin to the low 2000’s. Plus, the SIM Max felt a lot springier off of the face and the ball just wanted to launch high and straight. Distance was markedly improved.

I’m pretty intrigued...My next step will be to bring in my current M5 gamer and Tensei Pro Orange shaft for an honest comparison. Regardless, I’m surprised that I may drop the adjustable driver and go with the Max.

i can seee based on your comment in that thread you missed the picture on page 4 so here it is

2E7YLDLIUY5V.jpegAs we have talked about the are numerous types of gains to be had outside of speed as was shown in he txg video.

The others weren’t posted but between this capture, the txg video, other members who posted in the main thread about the sim drivers have shown that there are speed and distance gains to be had but none of that matters because you won’t/don’t believe anything and it’s al marketing bluff despite you not having tested it or providing any data to support your claim other than you have a physics degree And two others you’ve seen with no gains

That's fine but you have an abrasive attitude toward other who choose to believe the marketing or are intrigued by other's gains. There's no need to be petty toward others for what they want to believe.

I've hit both SIM drivers. I hit the mavrik. I play M5. M5 has been the straightest driver I've played since the hibore xl way back. But it lost ballspeed compared to the m4 I played last year. SIM gives me m4 ballspeed with (launch monitor) dispersion as good as M5. I saw faster clubhead speed compared to m5...avg of 2mph...

I was a skeptic too. Aeroburner was faster via aerodynamics and then folks swung r15 faster. They got a lot right in this driver.

The "Inertia Generator" is a reference to MOI, albeit a slightly tacky one. And I will keep saying until people stop spouting this "maxed out" talking point; NO ONE has made a driver at or near the legal MOI limit with a center of gravity at or near the neutral axis (or even below!). Once we reach that point with all the other tech we have now, THEN we will be well and truly maxed out unless the restrictions change. So do us all a favor and stop mucking up a new product thread with your jaded ramblings. That said, I do agree with you about aerodynamics though.

I am not a physicist but I can see. Today I went for a fitting. I took my own driver (M3 ACCRA FX2.0) for a baseline and was surprised. 99 SS 142BS 17.2 launch 2800 spin 236 carry 251 total.

I started with Maveik SZ and it was very similar to the M3. I hit the Cobra Speed Zone or whatever and my spin shot up to 3100 average.

Next was the ping 410LSt. This felt dead off the face so I never got comfortable with it.

Next was the Epic Flas SZ. I thought this would be the ticket b/c I currently play the 3W & 5W. The numbers were about the same. My ball speed increased about 1 mph but launch & spin dropped and it was only carrying 228 and the dispersion was crazy big.

Lastly I hit the SIM. My averages were SS101 BS 145 spin 2230 carry 248 total 273. It was almost like a joke.

I went back and forth hitting 2 with the Epic Flash, 2 with my M3 & 2 with the SIM. It was no fluke. Wven the bad shot (for me low and kinda heely) were as long as good shots with my M3.

The guy said I cant order until February 7th. We agreed I would come back and hit the SIM again and try the regular Mavrik. You are free to think whatever you want but the numbers told me the story. But we'll see when February 7th comes around

The aerodynamics was my only point really.

I accept that we have maxed out in all areas. Were getting close though. So close that the laws of diminishing returns kicks in. You get a tiny improvement for your money now (both in research terms and retail terms). Its up to companies and indivindividuals to judge if its worth it.

I dont think they help themselves by over hyping the marketing though. And I'm a TM driver fan, I've used them since the r5.
