I did a search and didn't see a thread for this yet, but was curious was everyone's take on this might be...evidently some idiots playing in Hilton Head thought it would be funny or a good idea to beat a wild animal with a golf club. There's a guy that I play with occasionally that needs to kill every snake he comes across on the golf course. I don't get it. They're not bothering him in the slightest, they're just living out in nature. He just doesn't like snakes. I have to yell at him to leave the thing alone.

I think who ever did it should be beaten with a golf club so that they can see firsthand the error in their ways. I have absolutely zero tolerance for abuse (animals or people, either way is the same in my mind).

Peoples, or I should say creatures who do things like this are the most disgusting, cowardly pieces of crap that where ever put on this earth......I dare whoever did this to show themselves….I would love to meet them anytime anywhere and see how tough they are dealing with me......Worse than doing something like this to a person who has the capability to defend themselves...….Would love to find out that these worthless fools were beaten in an ally and blinded for life.

Hoping to make some sense of this, I would hope that maybe what happened is that someone accidentally struck it with a wayward golf shot severely injuring it. And then maybe they were trying to put it out of it's misery. And not realizing that it was playing dead and not actually dead, they walked away. It's better than the alternative, which is that some crap-bag that is a waste of human flesh shares the golf course with us.

In Finland a couple of years ago two idiots, a filmer and a swinger, took a video of themselves decapitating a goose with an iron swing. The video is out there for the strong-stomached. That video sparked outrage and the police got involved. The story was the guy hit the bird with a drive and then put it down. I don't know what to think about that, (I'm not sold on it) but if it was mere cruelty it boggles my mind. It's simply sickening.

With the possum that's just godawful. There's a special place in h*** for that sort of thing.

Pisses me off that this happened in my state. Shouldn’t matter but that added fuel to the fire.

 

This is one of those immediate execution if caught in the act things to me. As in put the guy down , tie a block to his feet and throw him in the bay . No limit to mans cruelty.

Pretty sure when He numbered the sparrows of the air he probably counted up the baby Possums too .id hate to be in that persons shoes. A pox on your house .

Not good PR for the game, for sure.

The only time I beat an animal to death was to put a rabbit, which darted out in front of my car, out of it's misery. I felt like crap, but it was that or let it suffer for several hours.
