That’s a very specific thing to the US or at least NA. Across the world it is either TOC or AN. I’d lean toward TOC but both are reasonable.

St. Andrews and Dornoch in Scotland. In Canada: Jasper Park Lodge. For US courses: probably PGA West, TPC Louisiana, TPC Scottsdale, Troon North, Wekopa. I haven't played any really notable courses in the US (Pebble, Pinehurst, etc.).

BTW, thanks for the Northwood recommendation in another thread - will make a point of stopping there for 9 holes on the drive from Mendocino to Sausalito on our north/south "transition" day this summer. Looks like a lot of fun and since I'm not playing Augusta National or Royal Melbourne any time soon . . . .

Jasper is unreal. And hopefully you get to spend some time and see some of the other sites in the mountains. If you get the chance you could swing down to Banff, or Canmore and play some of those courses as well. Golf in the mountains really is quite spectacular.

Actually, we are staying in Canmore for a whole week long golf trip, then going to Jasper. We're playing Banff Springs, Silvertip, Mt Kidd, Mt Lorette, Stewart Creek, and Mickelson National.
