Ping I210 order time

any idea on how long a custom set of ping I 210 is taking right now?  Thanks so much

Good luck.  I bought some i210s this season.  It took a few rounds to get used to them but now that I have my tempo and swing adjustment down, they are great clubs.

I ordered mine on 08-01-2020. Was told by the forum sponser that I ordered them through that 3~4 weeks was quoted to them from Ping. Being the impatient person that I am, I  bought a different set to pacify myself until the Pings get here. Going to be awful tough for the Pings to knock them out of the bag.

I ordered my i210's on July 3rd. As of Aug 29, I'm still waiting on them.

about a 5 wk wait right now on 210's.

I ordered through DD’s in late June and it took ~6.5 weeks to get to me. Might depend on the set makeup specifically - if I’m recalling correctly Ping said that a shortage of UW heads was delaying the order beyond the already long baseline build time

Yea I ordered mine through a club pro. 4-UW Red dots with Nippon Modus 105s 1 degree weak. Just got an update today that Ping's site is saying Sept 3 for ship date. So that'll be a little over 8 weeks.

I feel extremely fortunate that I was able to find the exact i210 set I was fitted for (5-U, Modus 120S, Black dot) on eBay in February for $510, right before the world went sideways. I would guess they had 10-20 rounds on them. I had them regripped and was ready to roll for Spring.  My friend was fitted a couple weeks ago and didn’t even bother hitting Ping due to the turnaround times.

even though I do not currently have any Ping gear in my bag, I respect Ping as a company more than any other OEM.  That said, their lead-times are ridiculous, virus or no virus.

I did the same thing.  Shipping from USPS was a bit of a pain, but nothing compared to the delays ordering directly.

A big part of it is that, according to the local golf shop who is a "priority" customer for Ping because they sell so much, the AZ governor is actually limiting the number of trucks that can go out of the facility.  They are limited to one truck a day.

 

That's not on Ping, it's incompetent governance.

Ping has me completely baffled right now by their approach and execution.

Update:

I ordered my i210s on 8-1-2020, and just received an email from DD's stating that my irons have shipped. So, that puts it at 4 weeks.

I ordered a set of I210s with Nippon 105s on 7/8; called Ping today to check the order status and was told the Nippon shafts are on back-order and they are expected on 9/18...so looks like I might receive them by the end of this month. Good thing my other set of I210s with Steelfiber 95 shafts were delivered yesterday; they were ordered on 7/30.

That's odd...I ordered mine with Nippon 105 regular flex, and they are on their way to me. Maybe it was the 105 stiffs on backorder?

That wouldn't surprise me.  I read a quote (from TaylorMade person, I think) that Modus 105 Stiff is the most fit iron shaft.

I think you’re correct; I should have been more clear; the Nippons I ordered were stiff flex soft-stepped x 1.

This is very disheartening. I also ordered beginning of July with Nippon 105 stiffs. Was told last week they'd ship today, but still no update. Looks like I'll be waiting longer with you.

Yep, it's the total lack of communication that I find disappointing. The G410 has basically disappeared from shops / online sites and I haven't found anybody (and it's really surprising what type of people who don't know) who can tell me when they will be back in stock or whether they are now discontinued and I have to wait for G425.

To say the least...was told by Ping that there is a 300 piece PO of Nippon 105 shafts due to be delivered on 9/18, which “should” allow my clubs to be built. 
The frustrating thing is that I also ordered Glide wedges with my I210 irons at the same time with soft-stepped Nippon shafts and I received them about two-weeks ago. I was told at that time there were no I210 heads.

I ordered my i210s in June and got them in  August because they were completely out of stock at the time.  I was hoping that because I golf left handed they still had some, nope.  They finally showed up and so far could not be happier.  It is worth the wait.

Even during normal times, Ping has a reputation for using "lag sizzle" on custom orders. They want customers to long for the new clubs!

The cool thing about long order times is you eventually forget about it and when the clubs turn up at your door it's like a surprise Christmas present!

I ordered a set of 4-UW on September 3rd and was told 3-4 weeks. From the other responses it looks like that was an optimistic quote.
