Are these not out in US. We have them in the UK

The US has Z forged.  The picture from earlier today is from a tour photo, and is an unreleased version of the Z forged.  Hype for no reason other than internet points.

Can anyone find Srixon Z Forged anywhere? Seems like stores are either out of stock or unable to order. Does this mean something is brewing in the background?

Would love to see them bring back a classic look like with the Pro-100, but with a more square toe and lower offset.

I’m on my second go with these and I don’t honestly know how they could improve them? Maybe more of a triangular muscle like ZX7 again. I personally like the wave back but I can see how it’s polarizing.

How much more forgiving would you say the zx7 is over the zforged?

I hit a bunch of balls back to back with both. I would say there is next to nothing in it with the caveat that the CG is much lower in the ZX7 so if you struggle to elevate the ball and you don't compress it decently the ZX7 will be much easier. If you have good speed and compress it there is nothing in it and in fact I actually have a much easier time with the Z Forged because of the sole width. The difference there is massive and I prefer the V sole that the Z Forged has. I was hitting balls in 5 degrees Celsius the other day and had a 195 pin into the breeze off of sloppy turf. I hit five 5 irons at that green. One was absolutely pured - as good as I can hit an iron, one one decent, one was decent but slightly blockey and a little toey (maybe 5-10 yards), one was pulled, and one was very thin. I sh!t you not the front to back dispersion on all of those shots was about 20 feet and left right probably only 40. Very impressive for a long iron blade into a wind. They keep a lot of speed up for the design. I usually use a utility 4 iron (U500 or X forged UT previously) and feel no need with this set.

Appreciate all the feedback.

I am hoping that the blade release this time falls more in line with the remainder of the set. I know looks dont impact performance, but it always kinda bothered me that the blade was completely stand alone from the other irons, meaning blending was gonna look funny.

If they do a ZX9, similar to the 45 and 65 styles of the past to fit better in the whole lineup, i will be promptly be buying a combo the next day.

Thanks! I have gotten along better with a thinner sole but I’m on the steeper side. Think the zforged might be right up my alley.

I do struggle with height a little so the zx7 would probably be best. Surprisingly I always thought I should be playing heavier/stiffer shafts because I have decent speed (92-93 w/ 7 iron). Recently tested mmt 105tx on the course and loved it.

Yeah I'd for sure go the ZX7 then. Might be worth waiting until spring to see what the new blades look like as a combo could be on the table. 8-PW in blades is much better for me. I like those clubs to go forwards rather than way up. Loving the ZF.

I have 785s with a 9 and PW in z-forged, with steelfiber 110 x flexes in them  (similar swing speed @ low 90s for 7 iron) - love this, and could probably go with the z forged 8, but the 6 and 7 irons in the 785s are so easy to hit. I suspect zx7s would be similar.

I thought of doing a combo but I hit the 4 iron and was getting 45 descent angle and 145~ ball speed so I don't think there was really much to gain. I had the 785s and they were brilliant. Same with 745. For some reason hated the 765.

I bought them used off this forum, and the 4 and 5 are the 585 - I wish they were the 785, because based on the ease of hitting the 6 iron (favorite club in the bag) and the slightly off putting chunkiness of the 565 I think I’d get on better with the 785s. I keep looking for 785 4 and 5 iron heads on here and eBay,,,

You should really try the full set of Z forged at some point if you can. Check out how close they are to the 785s on MPF. If you think those are easy to hit you'd have no issue at all with the full Z forged set.

I have to stop coming to these threads. When I got fit last year I almost skipped it and went with srixons. Now in pxgs and wondering if I made a mistake. Don’t get my wrong I hit them great. Just the possibility of playing a playable blade is is appealing.

Would you say the zforged are easier to hit than the 921 tours?
