how does the 1K pro white compare to any of the blue line?

Hit the AV Blue today high, right and spinny. Any suggestions

Is this a shaft that stiffens notably when tipped? I’ve got a 60s at 45.5” and it feels a tad soft. Thinking about tipping it 0.5” but not sure if it has any meaningful impact. Swinging around 105mph at the moment. Can get to 110 when on a good day when sequencing well.

I’ve got the old pro white 70s tipped 0.75” in a 3 wood and it feels great, yet notably stiffer. Probably due to lower torque of the heavier versions.

@OutPerform, the EI profile of the 1K suggests that the tip is pretty linear and even.  Others with more experience may chime in, but it looks like tipping 1/2" would make it slightly stiffer, but not significantly so.

Torque values are not the only variable with regards to feel and stiffness, but I do see that the tip and butt torque on the Pro White 70S are much lower than the 1K 60S.

My swing speed is around 101, and once I'm warmed up I can get to 105 if I step on it.  I've hit Pro White, Pro White 1K and Pro Orange.  For all three I was between S and X, and if I was stepping on it the S felt a bit soft.  My guess is you're better off in 1K 60X.

1K white is a very different profile than the blue.  Blue has a soft mid and meant for lower swing speeds, or golfers with a very smooth swing and like (or need) a little kick through impact.  White has a stiff mid and is meant for higher swing speeds and/or aggressive transitions, where the mid will help keep the shaft feeling stable.

Right/spinny shots are often a product of impact position on the face (low heel shots).  Note that the root cause of this can be a shaft that is longer than optimal for you.  Most off-the-rack shafts are too long for the average golfer.  I try to put some impact tape on the driver when demoing it.  If I'm seeing heel shots, I set up with the ball 1/2" to 1" towards the toe. I find this pulls the impact position closer to center-face, giving me a truer result with that shaft.

Thanks for the input. I’m moving softer since my swing speed is down a bit. Clearly loosing less balls to the right now. Feels great. I dont have to go all out to feel the shaft. The driver could be a tad firmer though. Coming from Taylormade stock rogue silver 110 60X and 70X. Especially the 70X in 3W is too much right now.

Tipping the 1K half inch will stiffen it up slightly.  It feels significantly stiffer once you tip an inch IMO.

Couple questions for the group... I'm in an OG Pro White 60TX right now and want to try the 1K. Since there isn't an X-Flex in the OG and there is in the 1K can anyone shed light on overall stiffness relativity? I don't feel like my OG 60TX is too stiff but I'm not sure if the 1K 60TX is the same or stiffer. For reference (not that it's really all the helpful), I swing 110-113MPH with a moderate transition. Came to the OG Pro White from the D+ LTD and love the slightly softer handle of the Pro White.

Also... any dealers that have these new/uncut at a discount from retail please message me! Otherwise I'm going to grab one from a dealer on eBay.

I felt like the OG Pro White was actually slightly stiffer overall compared to the 1K.  You should easily be able to load a 1K 60TX.  You may even need to tip it a bit.  The 1K will have a lot more feel compared to the OG Pro White IMO while hitting that low/low window.

I agree the OG Pro White Kevlar was definitely more stout but the 1K feels lightyears better & for most plays better.

I tried the 1K in x and felt a little loose so moved to TX and it’s perfect. Both tipped an inch. Love the og whiteboard and the ventus black 6x feel. VB tx was too stiff for me as was the PD x Not even tx

Pretty sure the 1K has far more superior materials than the AV

AV Raw White did nothing but produce hooks for me.  It feels dead to me as well.  Pro White and 1K is far superior in every way shape and form IMO.  I haven't tested the new ones but I'm pretty sure they feel a lot better since they have the Xlink tech in it.

You're definitely not getting along with the AV raw white if what you see are high right and spinny like you stated.  Do you want something that feels softer?  Smoother?

Swing speed is 101, spinning the white at 2700 and up at plus 2.5, 271 total. Oban tour limited Blue was my last Driver shaft but was all carry and no roll. Modus 105s in my irons and love them, any suggestions would be great ,thanks

Honestly, out of all the shafts you listed, I would recommend either the TB but heavily tipped to keep spin down or a ZF straight in to tipped half inch.  Both shafts respond to a smoother swing quite well but the TB will launch a little higher than the ZF.  They are both remarkably smooth as well and have a subtle kick at the bottom.

Ok thanks alot, I will put those on the list to try out. I definitely have a smooth swing so hopefully they work out. Do u recommend anything else to demo? I hit the Ventus and didnt like any of the profiles. Do u like the hzrdus stuff

Hey there we have similar numbers and I also play and love the Modus 105S.  Smooth swinger here.

My current set up is a Tensei 1K white 60s playing length of 45.75.

This is hands down the smoothest low spin shaft I’ve tested.  I’ve played VB and Black as well as the AV white, Hzrdus Green and AD-XC.  1k is a very forgiving shaft and for being a low low shaft there is a good amount of feel.  There is a small kick that I mostly feel in the handle on the downswing.  It’s a shaft I can be very aggressive with or shape shots.  The feel and dispersion is much much better with 1K than AV White.  I found the AV to be really loose.  I def want to try ZF or the new GT to compare.  Also interested in the new TR Red which has been getting some good buzz because of its low spin performance

Been scouring this thread over and over a few times; the inner shaft ho in me coming out. I currently play the TR Blue 6X and like the way it feels and launches but I'm noticing it turns over just slightly too much for my liking. I've not tried the 1K white and am seeing various reports of people gaining significant ball speed with this shaft compared to others. For those who play it, do you notice that's the case? Differences between X and TX appear significant in feel regards. I'm looking for a similar launch to the TR Blue but with a little more protection from an over hook - I like to play a tiny draw and don't like working the ball much so to have something that's more point and shoot would be wonderful. I'm also considering the 6X version of the Kai'li white as it appears to be a bit stouter than the TR Blue as well, but really am drawn to the 1K White. I liked the 1K Orange but just didn't get much out of the shaft from a ball speed standpoint.

1K PW is by far the fastest modern shaft I've gamed.  2-4 mph increase.  It's pretty stable but but not as much as the Ventus Black or Diamana PD, IMO.  In all my testing shafts over many years, I've found that you can't have it all for the most part.  Yes, there is that magic bullet shaft out there for some but it's few and far in between.
