You are not the only one... they snapped a brand new Ventus black with a footprint on the middle of the box and then refused the damage claim.   Insurance is no good if they are going to deny... sad part is that it was even their wrong doing.   I will never use UPS again as this was the 3rd time happening....  3rd strike

UPS has been horrible. every package arrives looking like it was dropped from a plane. its Fedex or USPS from now on.

They have gone so far downhill the past 2 years.  I normally use FedEx (Gasp) when shipping shafts.  It may take an extra day or 2 but the stuff doesn't arrive broken.

1K PW is by far the fastest modern shaft I've gamed.  2-4 mph increase.  It's pretty stable but but not as much as the Ventus Black or Diamana PD, IMO.  In all my testing shafts over many years, I've found that you can't have it all for the most part.  Yes, there is that magic bullet shaft out there for some but it's few and far in between.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been playing a bit more than usual and have been working on speed training, pushing my speed up a bit and the TR blue is just turning over a bit more than I would like. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the 1K PW 60TX just to see if that will have any positive effect. I've read all the negatives about how the 1K PW can be a little bit easy to turn over, but I'm really interested to try a more whiteboard profile.

Yeah the d+ limited 70tx is all time back up for me , could play it without thinking twice .  Hangs right with the new Ventus stuff IMOP. I’m thinking I need to try a 1k based on what you are saying

Have you tested the TR Black?  I have the 7x in a Paradym TD and love it.  It's like the OG Black except that it's smoother.

You nailed that. TR is a smoother Og black for sure. I liked the TR black but didn’t love it for some reason in my driver but that shaft is killer. That old d+ limited is so good.

Currently gaming the 1K Pro White 60S @46 inches. Love the feeling of the shaft but I have to slow down my swing to around 95mph-100mph otherwise it feels I am loosing control. Normally I swing around 110-115mph. Thinking about going 60X or TX. Not sure if TX might be too stiff. Maybe a 50TX is also worth considering?

Anyone here who was in a similar situation? What did you go with?

Thanks!

I went with TX as the vendor I purchased from only had TX and not X. I swing around 110-115 mph as well and it's perfect. I can swing all out all the time and it responds nicely no matter what. If you're on the fence, either should be fine, but TX is not too much to handle. I really enjoy it. It's been the longest shaft I've played so far by a significant amount.

I played the X briefly… similar swing speed to you. Really smooth shaft, I wanted to like it but the 1k white just doesn’t time up with me personally. It wasn’t too soft or anything, just not a good profile for me. I have the 1K Black 65 X now and get along much better. TX in mitsubishi is probably unnecessary and unhelpful for guys in our speed range… I think their TX stuff is for guys 115+

I have the Tensei White series in all of my woods.  I'm not the most consistent with center contact, but the Tensei seems to help with that, especially compared to the old shaft in my 3W.  I shortened my driver shaft to about 43.75" total length and added a heavier back weight to my Epic Flash and I'm driving the ball better than ever.  My swing speed is about 110 with the driver and I'm using a 70 TX in that club.  I have 85 Gram X stiff shafts in the 3W and hybrid.

Replying separately to this one...

So, for me, even when I was 102-108 on average, the 70 gram TX shaft was far better for me than anything else I tested, which included a 60 gram X stiff Tour AD XC (with both a regular and flat adapter), a Ventus Velocore Black 7X, and a few others.  I did 2 different fittings - 1 each when the Rogue ST and Paradym series were released, and nothing beat the combo of my Epic Flash Tour Certified head and the 70 gram TX Tensei White.  In both cases, I tested my head with every stock and upcharge shaft the fitter had (Rogue ST was at Club Champion and Paradym was at Golf Galaxy), and even though the Paradym TD had about the same dispersion as my head with my shaft, and was a little longer with a Ventus Blue TR 6X, neither combo was enough of a consistent improvement to beat my current setup.  The only thing that intrigued me at all was back during the Rogue ST session with an ST Max LS head with my shaft, but I did not like the lack of ability to adjust the flight a little here and there to maintain a consistent ball flight like I can w/ the Epic Flash.  All that said, if this shaft dies and I can't replace it, I'll probably have to upgrade my head too, because I'm not at all consistent with it with other shafts and would instantly jump from a ~3.1 handicap to a 6 or 7 because of the # of balls I'd lose out of play off the tee...

So, yes, I would the shaft is that good and ideal for me even when my swing speed is down due to being tired or sore from reffing / playing hockey.

TX was a little more stable for me compared to X.  At 110, you should be fine as long as it's not tipped too much.  The key is to keep spin manageable and not drop too low.

I have a friend that plays the 1K Pro White who's ss is the same as yours and I would say he's moderate transition.  The tip is on the softer side for a low/low shaft so it can get spinny.  As a result, I would recommend half inch to stiffen it up for a bit more stability which is what he did.

Anyone compare the Diamana GT and 1K Pro White?

GT launched about 1-2* higher but spin was similar compared to the 1K pro white.  The big difference was stability where the GT had better/tighter dispersion pattern.  The tradeoff was the that 1K produced higher ball speeds.

i would 100% agree with this post.

also felt like on swings where you didn't give it full beans - the GT would still produce while the white you felt like you had to 'guide' a bit to keep dispersion remotely close.

D+ limited 60TX has been my gamer driver shaft for a few seasons. I’m about to order a TSr3 and Tensei 1K white seems to be the closest thing available in their custom options.

The question is do I go 60X or 60TX in the 1k white? D+ limited only came in Stiff and TX so I’m not sure which flex in the 1K would match up better. Is the D+ limited TX more like a standard X flex?

Hmmm, I’m a long time D+ Limited player looking for something newer to try. Maybe GT is the move. I know Morikowa recently moved into Diamana GT.

Since D+ is more whiteboardish then 1K white should be an easy transition with the same flex.

GT has that mildly soft mid that has that kick but no much. It is really on you if you want that subtle mid kick in that shaft or not. Prob best to stick with a profile you are already accustomed to.
