Yeah I'm a former baseball player, so I can tend to get handsy in transition, which is where I think I lose it. I played a CK Orange in a SIM that worked pretty well a couple years ago, I think the counter-balancing helped chill me out a bit. Wish I could've just traded the White for Orange straight up to see how that would go.

Would love to if it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

FWIW, here is what MCA told me when I asked on the difference b/t 50TX and 50X:

The TX will offer slightly more stability in terms of its tip flex and the TX flex will be slightly heavier.  Our swing speed recommendations are the same for X and TX flex, but the TX-flex tend to be favored by the player who wants maximum stability in a given weight and profile.

For me the T1K WP works very well with my Rouge ST MAX LS head, much better than it did in the Stealth Plus, much more consistent with better dispersion and ball flight, more distance too

What was the difference you saw in the heads? I feel like I’m getting a lot of variance in spin numbers on the stealth plus, which is probably due to strike location but it’s really hard for me to feel strike location on the stealth. I’m going to get fit for the Ls on Wednesday. Did you hit the triple Diamond too?

No I did not try the triple Diamond as yes it was hard to tell the strike location with the stealth. I was just way more consistent with my spin and dispersion as the stealth was only maybe 2-3 yards on my longest drive but I found the fairway more often with the LS with the TPW 1K than with it in the stealth

Its interesting how some shafts do better in this head vs that head.  I have a Graphite Design XC 7X and like it.  It was ok in my TS3, but its $ in the 917D2.    And I have an OG 'ahina 6X that loves the TS3 head.

I'm still unsure about the Pro White 1K + TS3 combination.  When I catch it right, its high flat bombs, some of the longest I've hit.  Might need to pick up another 917 to test with it...

anyone try this vs the diamana ZF? By specs, ZF should have more kick and stiffer in the handle, but both sound like a smooth profile shaft

I have both- 1K 50x and ZF60X.  ZF definitely feels like it has more action overall.  I’m not seeing the distance with the 1K though.  I feel like ZF is significantly longer.  Both feel great.

Played 45 holes with the 70S 1K in the Rogue Max LS and it was not good. Couldn't stop slicing the ball. Switched back to the 60g Smoke Yellow 6.5 and back to being  a fairway finder. I really couldn't believe it can change that much from head to head.

Looks like the 1K going to go up on BST unfortunately

Pretty strong differences between those two shafts. The Smoke Yellow is a mid soft counterbalanced design whereas the 1K White is a very linear, mid stiff design with a lower balance point. The Yellow will swingweight a little lighter with a way more pronounced feeling of loading in transition, so it would just be that you get along with that type of design way more.

Yeah I understand. It was just that I was fit with my PXG head for the 1k. Since I picked up and like the Rogue Max LS since that fitting, I thought it would be just as good, if not better in the LS head. I was wrong.

The biggest variable there is headweight since PXG's are often heavier. Have/did you weight both heads by chance?

Hah no worries, just another variable to consider. Are the 1K and Smoke Yellow shafts the same length? Same grip?

Same grip. The 1k is a tad shorter. No more than half inch though

Gotcha, lots of little variables floating around for sure that could help explain. The PXG was likely heavier, which means the slightly shorter length might have fit that equation better from a swingweight and feel standpoint. Take away that weight with the Rogue (potentially 4-6g of headweight depending) and the 1K might feel different and the overall club may have just gotten too light. I had this experience recently when I forgot to account for that when swapping around shafts during testing and my Titleist 5w was just feeling off. Turns out my normal D3 was now at C9 due to a length and balance point change on the shaft, so lead tape to the rescue.

If you want to get some more data, take the 1K and the Smoke Yellow to the range with the Callaway head and bring a roll of lead tape. See if adding weight to the head with the 1K changes anything for you, one strip of lead tape at a time placed somewhere that the tee won't knock it off (heel or toe usually). If adding weight tightens up your dispersion and/or improves your ball flight then keep experimenting until you plateau.
