Junior Male Golfers

Recommended Posts

On the back of the Junior Female Golfers thread I wanted to see how your boys are smackin' around the big dog (no pun intended).  My boy is only hitting it like 280 (carry) at 13 years old.  Should I be worried he's falling behind?  The image is from a GC Quad he was on the other day.  Spin numbers seem wonky but there were some normalized ones around 2200 with the same carry distance.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

My 10YO is a roller coaster. Recently, had been hitting drives out to the 180-200 range (even a personal on course best of 205 yards one time).  Today, way back down with a max drive of 175 yards total and averaging 160 yards.   Of all things, his swing deteriorates when he uses SpeedSticks (not kidding) so we will be putting those up for sale.

So somewhere hidden inside of him is a swing that can at least hit it out there a decent amount.   In the end, the distance will come (or it won't).  In the meantime, we keep working on short game.

It's no fun when the rabbit's got the gun.

281 Carry

312 Total

Way behind.

Should really focus on education.

🙂

So if I start looking into military academy's to build structure around education should I find one nearby or a few states away?

Great question, and one that's often pondered in this sort of predicament.

Have you absolutely maxed out on the SuperSpeed sticks...Orange Whip...Speed Chain...Drive 300 programs?

If not, that's on you for being a bad parent.  You've got to step up the pressure if you want him to compete.  If he's not first, he's last.

Also, forget the military academy option.  They solely focus on Stack and Tilt.  Not going to get to 350 yds on S&T.  I pity your efforts so far.  281/312 is not going to cut it.

My 15 year old is on a light regimen at the moment.  During the summer we are going to up him into the HEAVY Load.

At the moment:

HGH twice daily

Creatine once daily

Deer Antler Spray twice daily

Plant Protein Smoothies

Monday-Wednesday-Friday

Super Speeds at 6:00 in the morning before school along with one of the HGH supplements (wink).

Hour Elliptical after dinner with another HGH supplement

Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday

30 minute morning Pelaton  at 5:30 am before school along with HGH Supplements (wink).

Evenings are TPI certified workouts with the other HGH Supplement.  Heavy on Dead Lifts, Clean, Squats, and Bench Presses.

Saturday

5:00 am Swim in the pool with HGH supplement.

This is his gambling day with the men's group so try to go light in the morning.

In the Summer we are working on adding to the program.  Rypstick, Mach3, or Stack System.  Will also add morning workouts at the gym on M-W-F.

Right now he sits at about 235 carry and 250 total with 117 mph swing speed.  Really need to push to get to 120 mph swing speed to compete.  This will give him about a 290 carry and 330 total.

Really gotta push hard this summer because right now is way too light.

Thanks @BloctonGolf11 we’re going to incorporate some of those hard knocks life workouts into our daily routine. I just sent him out with a five gallon bucket of water he has to carry in one hand around the block without spilling a drop. And since I’m low on gas I may have him push my truck to the gas station on the other side of town.

Put him on this workout regimen now before it is too late! HURRY!

I would go with Ivan Drago regimen considering the amount of use of black market chemicals he was he was injecting into his body.  The Rocky Balboa way just doesn't work anymore.

Hence, the regimen I have my kid on.  To quote the infamous race car athlete "If you ain't first, your'e last!!"

What good is all of this science if we don't use it? Seems simple to me!

I can appreciate the use of the synthetics, but we are all natural in our house. We use real badger milk, it’s the only supplement needed. I have also ordered the Hammer and we have started working on screaming POW! When he hits his driver. The two combined should be and automatic 80 yard gain off the tee.

We found the secret.  Son was only hitting 320.  We took a trip to Vegas (wink, wink).  Now he is a man.  350 carry all day.

@heavy_hitterwe are on range at 3:30 why are you guys slacking?

I highly recommend a 6,000 calorie/day diet at various casino buffets to complement a Lee Haney-style workout routine.  Except for Mandalay Bay's buffet, as it is (probably) little more than two-day-old leftovers from various Luxor and Excalibur restaurants.
