FJ shoe warranty - replacement claim

Sorry to add another thread about FJ.

I visited their website last night and the claim process appears to have changed in the years since I last needed their assistance. 

They state just send the shoes in with proof of purchase and a statement of defect for claim processing.

No more RMA in advance.

 

I have a pair of Pro SL's that lost their waterproofing. Timeframe is within two years of purchase and box with receipt is on hand.

I've had good results with their footwear overall, though wet is wet and these puppies soaked through. 

 

Has this claim method been working for the members ?

You save shoe boxes for all your shoes?  Mine all go in the recycling bin.  I've never needed to make a shoe claim.

I did a claim on the ProSL's as well but I went through the store I bought them from. Maybe you can do that route if possible, if not I'd just call Footjoy and ask them about the process.

it's a habit with golf shoes. I store them in the OEM boxes off season.

and... the FJ webpage says to return them in the original packaging.

since I bought them a local course that is now closed for renovation, I have to deal with the manufacturer, unless I want to wait for spring 2022.

I don't know if the local DSG is going to be helpful.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with FJ on warranty issues. Send them in, track the shipment. On roughly day 3 or 4 of them being received, give them a call to check the status. They will be more than happy to keep you updated.

I last made a claim with Footjoy about 10 years ago.  Out of habit I always scan receipts I consider important into my computer.  Since it was a new model (less than 6 months from time it hit the shelves) Footjoy didn't ask for a receipt.  I was also told there is a manufacturing date inside the shoe.  Footjoy simply asked me to mail them back the shoes (I too save the original boxes).  I had a new replacement pair within about 10 days of my first conversation with Footjoy.  Excellent, hassle free service.

I had a pair of Tour X's that one of the shoes started to leak.  They were less than a year old and got them as a birthday present so I didn't have the receipt.  I returned them in a random box to the address listed under the warranty section of the Footjoy website.  Within two weeks (I don't remember the exact time frame)  I had a brand new pair waiting for me on my doorstep.

 

I wore them this past week.  Hopefully, these hold up better than the previous pair.

Never had the use the ship in method, but I've had leaky shoes replaced super quick and with great customer service response.  They've always been good to me, which is why i keep buying FJ shoes

They send you a new pair without sending in the shoes? I am waiting for a replacement now but I had to send my shoes in. Definitely worth the price to send in for a new pair but curious how it works without shipping in.
