The new super hybrid I thought was coming out under a different name not apex?

 

Maybe they just had apex put on it similar to how Titleist put ts2 and ts3 on their drivers when the new TSI line was in testing?

 

with the super hybrid there is

- new bags

- a chipper

- the new wedge which we have seen

- the DFX putters

also Mavrik has been announced as end of life now so might even be a new launch in that area?

There was a thread posted a couple weeks ago inquiring about whether there would be a Ventus Red hybrid shaft for this reason. Fujikura said there was no plans for one, and that Phil has a normal wood shaft in his, likely a custom .335 hosel on the club for him.

Anyone know what the stock shaft will be?  Sounds like some of the testers reported steel fiber.

What is the likelihood of Callaway beefing up their shaft options on this release. Other OEM’s seem to have better hybrid shaft options, especially no-charge options.

Checked it out on Callaway website. Pics look like a club I could put in the bag. $399 is a little steep for a hybrid though. Depending on the reviews I might spring for the 21 degree. Maybe pick up the 18 degree on CPO in the spring. Not sure about the higher lofts though. Personally that may be too much loft to look down on at address. Very interested though.

my OG 16* (17 lofted down 1*) does. 245 yards easy

I have hit it. It launches a little flat. Not terrible but it is pretty flat.  I will say, I am not a fan of the steelfibre shaft that was in it..
