I'm just trying to get a 9 iron that I lost. I'm trying to get the true temper s300 120gram. 

 

haha ive been playing with a random 9 iron and I try to avoid pulling it out at all costs.

haha ive been playing with a random 9 iron and I try to avoid pulling it out at all costs. 

They had them a few weeks ago.  I just got my set of p770 with that shaft about a month ago then ordered the 3 iron with that shaft about a week later and got it already.

Another update, Taylormades dispatch date of 25th April has come and gone. 23rd May is the latest dispatch date and they are confident they will meet this.

Let's wait and see.

The dates they gave me were spot on.  I got the 4-pw earlier than what I was quoted.

770's were "in production last week", and expected this week. Now they are expected mid June. How do they go from in production after 2 months to delayed again? Crazy times.

It's one of the main reasons I canceled my 770 order back in January, they changed the dates about six times within one week and I knew I couldn't count on them to give me a straight answer.

Yea really weird when the site shows the shafts and grips in stock now and was told the heads were in already. What did you go with instead?

I went with the Mizuno 223's. Even customized I got them about a month-and-a-half ago.

As the originator of this thread, I will tell you the final straw for me was the 9th letter notifying me of a new date of delivery for my order would be July 4th, 2022 - almost 11 months from my date of order. 
 

What I finally did was to craft a very polite and respectful letter to the CEO of TaylorMade. I figured I wouldn’t get a response. To my surprise I received an email back from him within 12 hours apologizing for the situation and a promise he would have their top guy in customer service get in touch with me to resolve. 
 

Within 30 minutes I got an email from the director of customer service outlining how they were going to get me my P790’s. It was a pretty Herculean effort to resolve and some of the components pulled from their tour stock. But, within 1 week they arrived. 
 

I was very polite in all of my correspondences and made sure to send thank you follow up notes when I received the shipping notification. 
 

When they arrived, both the 9 iron and gap wedge had visible defects (bulging) on the soles. I sent a note back about the issue and ended up sending the two clubs back for evaluation. It took three more weeks before everything was finally resolved and back in my hands. 
 

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had buying clubs. From this sharing, I’ve received several notes from WRX members telling me what an idiot I was for expecting anything more than what I got given the world circumstances. 
 

What they fail to realize is two primary facts:

1 - I replaced my 2 - 2019 P790’s with the 2021 version because TaylorMade reached out to me and others in August 2021 offering a better trade-in AND delivery by September 9th. So TaylorMade had both of my sets of irons and wouldn’t return them or provide me cash on my trade. I had to wait for delivery. 
2 - In every one of my 9 order delayed emails, they provided the next date for shipping and failed to meet it every time until I had enough. So, my expectations were always set by TaylorMade, not me fantasizing about when “I” thought I should have them.
 

So, was I wrong to expect a company to deliver on their promises?  Was this a bad situation? Of course. I’m just glad it’s in the past for me and wish all the other customers speedy resolution.

Lol I got my 770s in 10 weeks.  Right about what it takes to get mizunos and probably better than Titleist considering what I’ve seen in that thread.  Heads and shafts were both out of stock when I ordered.  Good luck with something else.  Hopefully it’s what you want.

If it was me making the decision, I’d take my story above as caution but wouldn’t rule them out based on my experience alone.

Funny you mention that, I play the Gen4's but I'm going for a fitting w/PXG in a week. The 0211 ST and Gen4 0311 ST's are high on the list to try.

I hope you really like either of the ST’s.  I look forward to your thoughts on how they compare.  I like the 0211 ST so much, when a good deal came up on BST, I bought them, sent them out to have them stripped and built a set up in raw.  I love those clubs and having built them myself makes them even more special.

I ordered earlier this year and after countless delays got irritated and divorced TM.  I did give them a second chance with custom ordered to my specs Stealth 3 wood, 7 wood and a hybrid.  Absolutely money and the turnaround times were not to bad.  Decided to give them a second chance and 2 weeks ago placed an online order for P790s built to my specs.  Was originally quoted 2 weeks and was stoked.   Received an email last week and now the arrival date is August 23rd.  Cancelled the order.  Fast forward to this Monday.  Ordered a custom set of Cobra Forged Tec 22 model built to my specs and they will arrive tomorrow.  5 day turnaround on custom.  Now we are talking!  Thank you Cobra

Thanks - at the time I bought both sets of the 0211 ST’s, the Gen 4 0311 ST’s were still very pricey.  So, I hope to hit them early next week to compare.

I know thats how it’s been, I had to wait over 3 months for P790s. But for these I ordered on Sunday, they were built on Monday and shipped on Tuesday.

They are not in better shape. We are going through this with TM now. And yes I am pretty concerned about the new model coming out soon as well.

Yet another update. May 23rd has come and gone and after another two weeks wait I still haven't received anything. I've contacted my rep and canceled the order, 7 months is just too long to wait. 

Heading in to try some other irons this weekend to see if I can get a feel for another brand.

Disappointing as I really liked the feel of the P790's but with no clear indication of when I will actually receive my order I've given up.

The world sucks right now. And there are real issues, but your wanting accurate information about a product you ordered is not out of bounds. Your patience was better than mine, I cancelled after the 3d notice and ordered PXGs that have been great. I thought I had tried everything but no matter what configuration I could stomach, there was another delay. Frankly, had TM simply said "We can't do it, we don't have the materials" threads like this would not have appeared. It's sad that the truth is so despised now that it is the last, not first, response. Oh well, good luck with the clubs, it must be bittersweet.
